@craigthom I got my National Beer Day badge from Untappd a few hrs ago.
Had to stop in at a little microbrewery to make sure I got it & to try a couple new beers.
@LordSalem There’s home and craft brewers are the only Americans making beer these days. The popular beers are made by Canadian and Belgian and South African companies.
@LordSalem Nice! I still have all my brewing supplies for bottling & kegging. I got old & lazy. Also, when I brewed, there were very very few microbrews available. Now, there’s 8+ breweries within 20 minutes of me.
@rtjhnstn My favorite style of ‘boilermaker’ is:
A shot of a nice but not too expensive Scotch (like a Glenlivet 12 or 15) neat. Enjoy that until it’s gone.
Then, a very good micro or import Porter or Stout served at 45 to 58 degrees, poured into a glass and enjoyed for a while.
I’m retired & not in a hurry!
@shahnm I blame you for, uh, do you have the bottle opener?
@mehcuda67
Seriously? April 7th is also my birthday eve. I better get my beer on.
@moonhat it’s my birthday eve eve.

@craigthom @daveinwarsh which one?
@moonhat Which badge? National Beer Day.
@craigthom oops sorry that was for @daveinwarsh - which Brewery
@craigthom @moonhat Silver City Brewery Taproom in Bremerton WA. They have free tasters, I tried 3 & had a pint of a Stout. (& took some home)
@daveinwarsh nice! I’ve had their IPA before but haven’t been to the brewery.
The only beer I have on tap right now is a kölsch. Slightly unamerican? I did make it with American 2 row though!

Let me know when it’s National Boilermaker Day. Then it’ll be cheap bourbon & good beer!
