Ima spend a few buck more and get one that works with batteries I already bought. If you don’t have a heavy investment in cordless tools, then this is a semi-cheap way to get these two. (Beware of anything significantly cheaper; it could be crap. Reviews on Amazon for this type of product are notoriously plumped up with seller shill-buys. I don’t think these are crummy, but I don’t think they’re probably DeWalt-quality either.)
@werehatrack thx for the two cents. I was fortunate enough to have been gifted a non-brand-name mini chainsaw by my neighbor a while back and I have been very pleasantly surprised. The circular saw is tempting.
@mehvid1@werehatrack If the battery terminals on your mini chainsaw looks like the one on the left here:
… then it’s Makita LXT style and those can swap over.
The chainsaw offered here appears to be a Dayi style battery, which is common in Asia but not here in the US. I haven’t figured if the circular saw is modeled after any particular brand or is it just a generic style that the white-box manufacturers decided to adopted.

@brainmist With or without bloodstains? (Hey, it’s Hallowe’en season, mmmkay?) (When did Hallowe’en stop being a contraction and lose its apostrophe?)
