I had a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon for my knee replacement, and I decided to dress up as a witch. I handed out candy to random strangers, stopped by a tattoo shop that was having a Halloween special and got a cute little tattoo for cheap. Was a decent day considering I’d been awake for over 24 hours when I took this photo of myself.
I have been (mostly) lurking enough around here to have posted a couple photos of my adorable baby girl. This year for Halloween she dressed up as a tall blond girl in jeans I barely recognize from the old pics. And THEN she dressed the tall blond girl as Hermione from Harry Potter. Some of the costume (shirt, scarf) was homemade and some of it was from the closet. I sprung for an inexpensive wand and “time turner” pendant (online purchases) because she’s been captivated lately by the first 3 Harry Potter books and it seemed like they will get use beyond last night.
Props to her for selecting a comfortable, practical costume that had her going door-to-door from 4pm until nearly 9. She’s indefatigable! And I’m having a hard time staying “low-carb” in the face of all the new chocolate she brought home.
(Now that Halloween is over, can I please turn her back into the cherub I remember??)
@Kyeh
THAT’S THE SPIRIT!

@Pony
So good, you do a great witch!
What did you get for your cute little cheap tat?
It’s a GOOD DAY when adulting is FUN!
@Lynnerizer I got a little poison bottle on my right forearm. I love it.
@Pony
Nice! Filled with a poisonous love potion I’m sure!
I’m not saying I had a kid so I could go trick or treating again but…
@Sneakertree omg the cuteness is too much. I die.
@Sneakertree Adorable!
@Pony thank you! She’s too young to get thank you out so she blew a kiss instead. Pretty sure we got double the candy.
