My bet is that these are cheap and inferior knockoffs. And it’s highly unlikely that any significant (or actual) piracy is occurring.
I humbly suggest that your sense of indignation (if not wholly sarcastic, which I hope is the case, but you might have provided indicators) is altogether misplaced.
If you want to be angry, please direct your rage at the large corporations in a multitude of industries (but certainly including gaming) that routinely steal from the actual artists and smaller shops and with almost complete impunity.
Simping for the big money “anti-piracy” stooges is a bad look.
@joelmw@user30070396 Yup, exactly. It’s one thing on AliExpress or Ebay, it’s another thing on a site like this.
As for your issues: “no significant piracy is occurring.”
These are usually loaded with RetroArch, who has made clear they do NOT want people selling their free software. It’s also usually pretty old, and it’s not updated/modified to use the controllers or the display so you have to fix it per game, just like if you were doing this on your PC.
The games, well, 10,888 games that these guys didn’t make. That’s pretty significant.
The design steals the Playstation controller design completely except for the fact that trigger buttons are usually fake, the joy sticks are fake or do nothing, and it’s made of the cheapest plastic around.
If I want to be angry, I believe I’m placing my anger quite well to the scammers involved whose only source of income is ripping people off with junk like this, and a company like Meh selling what amounts to .10c plastic shells containing a bunch of stolen software.
@oppodude 100% - interested in a game list. Having a headache-free plug and play emulator is great, but if they’re all knock off Super Italian Plumbers and Pizza Slice Man it’s not worth it.
@goldnectar@snapperh3ad - I mean do they have Muck Hunt? Terrific Marquez Brothers? Toader? Trench Drop? Newer games like Corona? Fax of Responsibility?
@oppodude Based on reviews in the Amazon listing - most or all of the NES catalog and some of the original PS catalog. Which is fine, but 100% the wrong controller if that’s the idea - they’re obviously trying to make you think it’s the other way around.
@lonocat@snapperh3ad - I appreciate it. I was really actually just joking. I wanted to see someone type all the games. Should have added a /s on it. But thank you for looking! (plus my kid already is playing 2WeekDay and would laugh at me over this)
@lonocat@oppodude Appreciated, I play the snot out of emulated stuff, I’ve always got my fingers crossed for something like this that nails it so I can just stick it into a TV and go.
Got one of these in an IRK. The menu is not very user friendly. If you can deal with scrolling through an alphabetical list of hundreds or thousands of games by console, it’s worth having, especially for nostalgia. It seemingly has every NES, SNES, and Sega game ever made, along with games on other consoles.
I am so glad the internet video game pirate experts are here. I guess it means they have taken time off from being cargo ship experts, vaccine experts and Voting experts.

@Artimid @joelmw
Nice rant but some of us are still surprised to see pirated games sold on legitimate websites.

@Artimid as long as the toothbrushes are legit, I’m ok
@Artimid Fish for dinner last night?
@Artimid @OnionSoup I prefer “stolen” toothbrushes.
Found online elsewhere for cheaper and side deal had t for 10 bucks a while ago… Come on
I am going to need a list of all the games before deciding.

@oppodude I don’t think they can legally mention the games.

@oppodude found similar item, list

@lonocat @oppodude Thanks!
Tekken 3 is not listed … I’m out.
@lonocat @oppodude thank goodness it has ms. Pacman, Ms. pac-man and Ms. Pac man
It’s on Amazon with so so reviews https://www.amazon.com/DOLSAO-Newest-20000-Console-Gaming/dp/B0D66YRBSB/ref=asc_df_B0D66YRBSB?mcid=199fbb79a9563fe7a4d2664e0b1f9cf6&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=695630922219&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3124424418848877350&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9060351&hvtargid=pla-2339404663092&th=1
@hillbilly115 OR THIS ONE.

@cocacola08 “currently unavailable”
@zippyus Ya, I dropped that if anyone wanted to see some additional reviews.
Hurry up and see some example games.
amazon has a newer version with 20k games for slightly less. whether either one is actually worth any amount of money is still a mystery.

10,888 games - so you’ll never find the four games you’d actually play.
