GROUNDHOG DAY!
10Hey, come on - no mention of our recurring tradition in the Meh write-up? Phht. Yes, it is once again time to pose the perennial question, “What would you do if you were stuck in one place, and every day was the same, and nothing you did mattered?”
Well? Are we men (or women etc) and prepared to sieze the day and make the best of it, or are we groundhogs, scared of our own shadow (although possibly the groundhog’s presumed reaction to his shadow is a instinctive understanding that at this time of year, no shadow means a windy, cold day)?

Oh, and in case you hadn’t heard, he’s predicting another six weeks.
@aetris i have never understood the “see his shadow= cold 6 weeks.” If he sees his shadow then it is a sunny day, so wouldnt that portend milder days ahead?
And according to news today was overcast yet he still “saw his shadow.” So apparently he has perception issues, why are we trusting him again?
@mollama I saw it live on the TV. There was sunshine on him when he came out this morning.
@mollama - I’ve never met that groundhog, but I distrust his entourage!
(I believe that the idea is that a clear day at this time of year means air too cold for precipitation, i.e. an ongoing cold front. You know, I should really look it up.)
Guess this is why we have the same video again and again and again.
One of our priest gave a sermon about the movie! About getting it right. It made sense, but I think he just wanted to see the movie over and over!
This seems eerily familiar somehow…
@PocketBrain - It’s Déjà vu all over again!

My grandma Mama passed away 19 years ago today. I was at work. The thought of reliving that day over and over…or any Groundhog Day that came after - nope.
