This song has a special meaning to me.
If you do FRPS, online or dice or live action or whatever, you know people develop a persona, an alt if you will. Several years ago I met a person, well, hell, I will give it away. He was a David Bowie fanatic. He actually cried the day Bowie died.
Keith’s persona was MagerTom, a pun on the title, because the character was a mage. We became close friends, online friends, as we never met in person. He lived in Calgary and worked in the Canadian film industry.
He was the black sheep of his family, sowed a lot of oats, didn’t become a nationally recognized lawyer. He was also the baby of his family.
He died in 2021 of metastatic prostate cancer that did not respond to any treatment, and the ripe old age of 63.
He used to tell me tales of the films he had worked on and the things he did. I miss him and this song makes me tear up quite a bit

Today especially as October 13th, my daddy would have turned 94. I miss him too.
