Google's Bach create a 2 measure tune homepage toy
5Yesterday, and it is still there today, google put up a cool little thing on their home page that you can create a two measure tune, they then use artificial intelligence to harmonize it from their database of Bach music. Fun to play with. If you like one you did you can click on midi and download it. If you want you can have them harmonize the same tune multiple different times. Each time is different. Some suck and some are nice.

I went highbrow and entered such classics as “Shave and a Haircut” and “My Sharona.” Seemed a fitting counterpoint to all of the intellectual and creative effort that went into their doodle. (Sadly, nothing came out of the midi output for me. A few were really good.)
@mehcuda67 the midi output downloads a file which my computer (mac) told me I needed flip player to play. So look in your downloads for the files.

Can Google doodles be embedded?

Also controversial to musical cognoscenti who claim errors, that Bach’s compositions cannot be reduced to algorithms, and that the algorithms used are lame.

"Bach-lash!"
@f00l Well a number of “tries” on the same tune (which was in a minor key consistent with so much baroque music) produced varied results. Some were very consistent with the style and some were bizarre.
