Mostly I get “which of the following stores have you been to recently?” This current streak of “how do you feel about brand x?” questions is unusual for me.
@walarney same here. The weird thing is a significant amount (at least a third) of the which stores have you been to question, I haven’t been to any of them. I don’t know if it’s testing my honesty or if my location data is not very accurate.
today’s list: Kool Smiles, Class Axe Throwing, Mock Beroth Tire & Automotive, Kassab Jewelers, OfficeMax. hmm… one of these things is not like the others.
@djslack@walarney It seems to include stores you get near to, and at times with screen off location can be really flaky. Usually 4 of the 5 stores are either places I haven’t heard of or not local, once in a while all 5 are unknown to me. It may well be testing honesty sometimes.
@kevinrs@walarney it’s asked me three times in a row a list of places that includes Wendy’s. I haven’t been to Wendy’s in months. But there is one next door to a store my company owns, and I went to that store yesterday.
It really seems like it’s asking “are you sure you haven’t been to Wendy’s? We know you went to Wendy’s already, it’s ok, you can tell us the truth.”
@djslack@walarney A couple of times a month I do work in Staples, I pretty much always get asked about Staples in both cities I go to after my visit, and often also get surveys about other nearby stores. I think it would be more effective if instead of just showing the target store that they are collecting info on and 4 random stores that may be hundreds of miles away, they showed some selection of closest other locations from google maps. Like show you wendy’s, as well as the place you actually went and a couple others surrounding it. They could refine their locations better that way.
@djslack@kevinrs@walarney Just click that you went to Wendy’s and then in the next screen it says “I did not enter the store.” that way you still get money and it realizes that you didn’t actually go there.
About half the questions like that I get are companies I’ve never heard of.

Hey Google, I haven’t been to Wendy’s.

App also needs a setting for “no, I’m never going to send you a copy of my receipt.”
