You forgot - bad news (related to your other bad news - hmm blame the goat). The packages will arrive when you are out of town so… porch pirates. As a result maybe you won’t buy from meh again???
@ThunderChicken What are your plans during hurricane season now that it is in full swing? At least at the moment choosing FL as a place to camp out you are missing being in one… or is riding out a hurricane on land and then also doing it at sea on your bucket list?
Seriously though hope your choice of cruises misses them.
@Kidsandliz By total coincidence, I canceled a cruise that was to visit San Juan this week.
In general, hurricanes don’t affect cruises as much as people tend to think. About the only time they cancel a cruise is if is going to strike the departure city and there is not enough time to both board passengers safely and get the hell out of Dodge. (Port of Miami is on Dodge Island, heh.)
The cruise lines employ top-notch meteorologists and divert to where the hurricanes aren’t. This can mean surprise destinations, a venture in itself.
I have had a private mailbox for 27 years and it’s the greatest thing. I don’t have to ever worry about packages, I can even get vape supplies that have to be signed by someone over 21. It was originally a Mail Boxes Etc, but they went private long before UPS bought MBE and ruined them. I highly recommend them to everyone. They are usually owned by people who have known their customers for years and are extremely helpful. Just my experience.

@Kidsandliz Good news: It is a shared living situation and my friends have way too good taste to steal anything from meh.
@ThunderChicken In other words meh item total cost = meh item + tax + shipping + rent? Hmm…
@Kidsandliz Math is hard. But meh cost + shipping + $0 = meh cost +shipping.
@ThunderChicken What no tax and rent to factor into your meh purchase costs?
@Kidsandliz Tax, yes. Rent no.
@ThunderChicken Well you got lucky on the rent front. You sleeping in an attic closet then?
Actually are you still living on cruise ships traveling the world?
@Kidsandliz Yes I am! I am on a two-week vacation from vacation, holed up in Ft. Lauderdale.

@Kidsandliz I have always depended upon the kindness of strangers.

@ThunderChicken The last thing any cruise line wants to risk is having their vessel get caught in an otherwise avoidable storm.
Is the new address remote?
@shelines As in the Outback?
The rents at Outback are outrageous, and my favorite steak was dropped from the menu.
@werehatrack At Outback they would just brush it off and put it back.
congrats on your new pied-à-terre
Hee Haw – Good news Bad news
Hee hee hee haw haw haw.
@ThunderChicken I sang that in my head hearing banjos.
Damn it, I’m old.
@lisaviolet @ThunderChicken I thought of the french chef singing Les Poisson in the Disney film “The Little Mermaid”.
(But I’m old, too.)
@macromeh @ThunderChicken
@lisaviolet @ThunderChicken I know the song, but from a Hee Haw brand slot machine at a local casino.

@Fuzzalini
Good news! The UPS Store I’ve used for 14 years has been great!
The Bad News? The MBE closest to me at the time was horrible!
In the Good/Bad News arena …
