Goat Toy Day 7
12I’m not sure if this one is back, or it never went away. Wikipedia says the original is the Whee-lo, from 1953. Other names include Magnet Space Wheel or Magnetic Gyro Wheel Rail Twirler. Probably a zillion others too.
Of course the modern tweak is LEDs. Though I’m sure I remember one that gave off sparks.
And there are variations with bumpy rails.
Or circular rails.
Important play tip from Wikipedia:
A plastic piece at one end of the track serves as both a handhold for the toy and an adjustable slider to position the width of the track. The narrower the track, the faster the wheel goes, because the axle is thicker in the middle and you get more distance per each rotation of the wheel. Widen the track, and the wheel goes slower.

Those were awesome toys! Simple and inexpensive! My kids would never play with them.
MEALS! DEALS! EELS! AWESOME!
Oh yeah… they were da bomb!
I had one of those - put quite a few hours on it! That was one of those toys for which my parents actually got their money’s worth. Man I was bored as a kid…
I won one at our grade school carnival; it really was a lot of fun.
