Goat Day 13 - Say cheese
7I’d always wanted a webcam with fancy controls that let the user pan and tilt, and meh delivered (for free, because this was the first purchase where my mehmbership paid for itself.) But I wasn’t able to get the camera to work wirelessly. It worked fine with an Ethernet cable, but I couldn’t figure out the wireless settings. I’m sure if I read the manual it would have been easier, but jumpers and shunts and IRQ conflicts are no fun, so I sold it on eBay for a penny. The buyer never paid, so I still have it. I think I’ll try setting it up again and use it to look for a Pomeranian.

I got that one in a fuko. It did not work wirelessly for me either so I plugged it in to test it. Worked fine. Unplugged it to move it, then it suddenly worked wirelessly.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A lot of wireless devices need to be initialized using a wired connection first. Sometimes using WPS (the deal with pushing a button on the router to connect to a new device).
HP printers are notorious for this.
@mike808 I did that. Technically, I skimmed the manual.
