10Afternoon, my fellow Meh dudes and dudettes. How are we doing today? Good? Good. I don't really have a rant today. I mean, I could fake outrage over silly stuff, but you've come to expect nothing from this journal, so it's all good.
ODDS AND ENDS
Rapid fire, here we go.
-If you're not watching Better Call Saul, you need to ASAP. Last night's episode was an all-timer that ranks up there with the best Breaking Bad episodes.
-I found it odd that the 7 Day Forecast had double digit temperatures that started with the number 4. What kind of sorcery is this?
-Marvel might not attend SDCC this year. I think maybe 5 or 6 people left the Hall H line after hearing the news.
-You ever get accused of lying about something that you absolutely aren't lying about. How frustrating is that? It's painful. I had to deal with that yesterday from a good friend of mine, and man is it frustrating and quite annoying.
-Abe Vigoda: Still Alive.
-Ever bring breakfast in and notice there's leftover breakfast in the conference room from an early meeting? Isn't that like throwing money away?
-Who else is ready for March Mad... wait, that's copyrighted.... March May... nope, that's also copyrighted... The Basketball Games in the 3rd month of the year that cause Insane Reactions?
OK, I might do more of these. They're a lazy way of filling column inches!

How do you power through writer's block or a creativity lull? Myself, I just play Bejeweled Blitz until my brain clicks back into form.

Writer's block is a tough one. Based on a strong recommendation from @ChadP I've taken to carrying around a Moleskine and a nice pen with me everywhere I go. Being able to write down any ideas I have that might be worth remembering later has been a big help, you never know when inspiration will strike. You can also check out the Bullet Journal, but that's more all-encompassing journaling.

@communist So, I was a goat and I have definite ideas, but there's much disagreement about the nature and function of the goat and I'm just trying to provoke @BillLehecka to weigh in. He has somewhat already--hinted at least. I want to have a direct and expansive conversation on the topic is what I want.

if I show up at midnight EDT (yea it's a D now because DST [the worst]) just for the chance to be disappointed by the daily offering and then the daily offering is disappointing, am I really disappointed?
Better Call Saul, big thumbs up. Two other upstarts to consider: New mystery thriller on USA called Dig, and the new A&E supernat drama The Returned. Only one episode for each has aired, but so far, so good.
Which mehrican(s) would you most want to have lunch with?

@Thumperchick Great question Thumperchick! I think I'd rather think of Mehrican food pairings however. I think that @BillLehecka would pair good with Italian food. I think @MsELizardBeth would pair best with a upscale street food vendor, Not the Costco/Lowes hotdogs, but something like the Dumpling lady or the mini sliders with onions and canned cheese sauce. I think @JonT would go good with either BBQ place or Sushi… that’s up in the air @dashclud would be a Mom & Pop Diner, something more modern than the classic 50’s-70’s diners, Decor may look dated but the people don’t have the classic diner getup. I think you @thumperchick would pair good with a gastropub

@BillLehecka you are around the north east aren't you? I was very surprised when I could leave the jacket in the car today and see a little grass. I think it got to the big 50 here today. I was ready to bust out my flip flops and shorts.
Quick FYI to anyone who wears flip flops in meh weather. Flip flops aren't generally made with good grip. Using them when here may or is ice present may lead to a trip to the ER. You have been warned. Expect the warning labels on one of the next pairs of flip flops you buy.
@sohmageek sounds like your PSA regarding flip flops is possibly spoken from experience?
@tinkertime family experiance. Yes. It's tempting when we get a day like today at 50. I've worn shorts and shirt with 2-3 feet of snow outside. Never flip flops however. Other family members... Well...
