@qmr EXACTLY (not sure about shark AIDS, but…). Using distilled water in an ultrasonic humidifier won’t:

• Put a hard white mineralized coating on everything in the room
• Put that coating in your lungs
• Put any bacteria in the water into your lungs where there is no digestive fluids to take care of them
• Clog up the ultrasonic membrane rendering the humidifier useless over time
• Leave a mineral deposit inside the humidifier
