@narfcake Even going thru my history, I can’t again find the page, but what I referenced was on the first page of a g-search…
I’ll claim double vision, or hopeium, adding the 1 in front of the 9. No other rational explanation.
However, I have flown, recently, on SouthWest, with a soft bag approaching those dimensions.
@PlacidPenguin You are also free to carry it on a car, or a boat, or a train, or even just on your person. No need to feel left out. Come join the happy and fulfilled people in the carry-on club!
@PlacidPenguin This must be the second comment you’ve made this week about having never flown. I’m not passing any judgement, but now I’d like to know why. Never had a need to? Honestly, if I were in your situation, I might just never get on a plane just to have that claim to fame.
How long is the handle when fully extended? (Seriously, I hook bags with extendable handles like that onto the antitip wheels of my boyfriend’s wheelchair when we travel, and there’s a sweet spot for it!)
The whole conceit behind the FŪL brand was that the bags were supposed to have built-in power banks. I had a messenger bag with one. Are they not doing that anymore?
@harveydanger I’ve got a full size rolling duffle made by them that’s probably around 10 years old, and that the first I’ve heard of them having power banks.
I was in the exact same boat as the write-up. I already have a good carry-on duffel that’s just the right size for my trips but still fits in a CRJ200 overhead. This has a hard bottom and I have the option to roll it, though. I bought it. If it doesn’t work out, it’s not like I’m broke.
I have a Ful backpack and it’s very well constructed. I like it, except for having people see it and think “Fool”. This bag ain’t true carry on size, though. Meh.
Like all things on Meh, I don’t really need this, but am considering it. I have a rolling duffel now and it’s falling apart. In my experience, these are too heavy to carry any real distance, so I end up using a traditional roller suitcase (mine is approved overhead size). I wonder if I had a decent bag in this format if I would actually use it any more? Hmm.
@fastharry LxW is within the limit, so as long as you don’t max it out it’s good. It is over the limit for the personal item, if that’s what you meant, and since it’s hard LxW you can’t smush it down like a duffel.
Perfect timing. Getting this for my wife. She just bought a new one, we went on vacation and the new bag broke first time in use. Crap. This Meh bag has much better stats, and it is cheaper. Yeah me.

Just duffeling along tonight
For the briefest of instants I thought this was a chainsaw. My eyes deceived me.
New friends for baby arm!
I guess if it’s not packed full, it can meet carry-on guidelines.
(9" x 14" x 22")
@narfcake It may not always be full, but it’ll always be FUL.
@narfcake 19 x 14 x 22
@rjquillin Which airline allows that? All the major ones I know have never allowed such a size.
@narfcake Even going thru my history, I can’t again find the page, but what I referenced was on the first page of a g-search…

@narfcake @slyty
I pitty the FUL who don’t like this bag
@narfcake 11.5" x 12" WTF could you pack for a trip in those dimensions?
@narfcake @rjquillin Southwest is 10x16x24… and they are friendly and forgiving if the flight isn’t full. If it is they’ll simply gate check it.
when I fly to Europe on Norwegian it is 9x16x22.
@narfcake We were looking at luggage at Costco last week, and they didn’t have a single carry-on bag that met the size restrictions.
Wouldn’t a carry-on require that I fly in a plane and actually travel somewhere?
Neither of those things sounds particularly fun, especially since I’ve never flown.
@PlacidPenguin You are also free to carry it on a car, or a boat, or a train, or even just on your person. No need to feel left out. Come join the happy and fulfilled people in the carry-on club!
@shahnm
Never been on a train or boat.
@PlacidPenguin Well perhaps if you just focus on the vehicles you have been on…
@PlacidPenguin and yet you’re cruising along one of the most dangerous forms of transportation - the internet
@shahnm
If I was traveling somewhere by car, then I wouldn’t exactly need a carry-on.
@PlacidPenguin It’s time to think outside the box. Carry something on in the car, and shed the shackles that bind… Soar - SOAR like a … penguin.
@PlacidPenguin This must be the second comment you’ve made this week about having never flown. I’m not passing any judgement, but now I’d like to know why. Never had a need to? Honestly, if I were in your situation, I might just never get on a plane just to have that claim to fame.
@shiranissosexy
(Only because this was the second plane related item this week.)
Correct. Or a want.
@PlacidPenguin @shiranissosexy where do each of you live? and how old are you? just curious
@PlacidPenguin You could take it for a walk.
@catthegreat @PlacidPenguin Oh, didn’t notice this. I’m 31 and in Boston. I fly a fair amount, mostly just to see some family on the West coast.
How long is the handle when fully extended? (Seriously, I hook bags with extendable handles like that onto the antitip wheels of my boyfriend’s wheelchair when we travel, and there’s a sweet spot for it!)
@Jamileigh17 good idea to attach wheelie bars while he’s in the airport.

I left my glasses in the other room so I can’t see the pictures well. Could someone tell me if this bag is ugly?
@sourhead Ugly might be a little strong but I wouldn’t call it pretty.
Who’s Kid Bizkit? Did Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit have a baby?
@t0nyc0tt4m close. Pilsbury Dough Boy frosted a hot cinnabun one night, and … Kid Bizkit.
The whole conceit behind the FŪL brand was that the bags were supposed to have built-in power banks. I had a messenger bag with one. Are they not doing that anymore?
@harveydanger You can probably pack a power bank in it and allow the bag to fulfill its namesake destiny. It will be awesome.
@harveydanger I’ve got a full size rolling duffle made by them that’s probably around 10 years old, and that the first I’ve heard of them having power banks.
People who load their carry in the overhead parallel instead of perpendicular.
I don’t think this is for me since I lack enough plastic doll parts to fill it with…
@Larry1977 Keep shopping on Meh, and sooner or later, they’ll have a particular Saturday bundle…

Duffle bags are not good for carrying onto commercial planes. None of the beautiful people want to sit around the cheap commoner.
@hchavers It’s the duffel bag? I thought it was the flatulence. Cool. Easy fix, and now I’m sitting pretty with the pretty people.
Yeah! Real wheels! Not those dainty little fragile wobbly spinner wheels that snap off at the most inopportune time.
And you don’t have to worry about yet more stress on the dainty-wheels when you loop another bag around the handle on top, hand-truck style.

Don’t judge me for the poor choices I make.

I pity the FUL!

@ciabelle
Pass. Can’t fit eight heads in it.
I have a Ful backpack and it’s very well constructed. I like it, except for having people see it and think “Fool”. This bag ain’t true carry on size, though. Meh.
lurching-cut-bushbaby … uh, I think I’ll skip the giphy on that one.

@LifeSucksMEDead 45 years later and that shit still freaks me the fuck out.

@ACraigL The plus to a duffel is that it’s more flexible. If you pack less, it’ll take up less space versus the wire frame of a regular piece.
@ACraigL @narfcake yah, soft bags are great that way.
too big for Allegiant and Southwest carry on…pass
@fastharry not really - one inch is not a big deal unless you have it jampacked ful.
@fastharry LxW is within the limit, so as long as you don’t max it out it’s good. It is over the limit for the personal item, if that’s what you meant, and since it’s hard LxW you can’t smush it down like a duffel.

Dangit! I missed out. I was hoping I could snag one after work.
