Fuku purchase bug report

I figure the Meh engineering team (mehgineers?) probably aren't big enough suckers to stay up late and try to buy a Fuku themselves. So, they probably didn't get to see tonights server failure from the customer perspective & might find some (hopefully detailed enough) reports helpful.

Here was my experience tonight:

  1. Went to @wearemeh (because it often loads faster than meh.com at 12), which had a posting about the fuku (twitter showed it as 7 seconds ago, so I guess I was super quick).
    1. Went to meh.com, which loaded fine. Clicked purchase button.
    2. Purchase pane loaded fine. I scrolled down and hit submit.
    3. Green bar stopped near the end because I hadn't clicked the "I'm not a robot button"
    4. Clicked I'm not a robot & submit (i did not wait for the captcha to process)
    5. submit progress kept looping for a while. I started opening up a 2nd tab & otherwise mucking around trying to get a 2nd shot at a fuku
    6. After a few minutes, I notice recaptcha has a timeout error. I click it again, and am greeted with an ugly error that I can't recall (seemed like a JS var wasn't set or something)
    7. Accidentally clicked out of that order page, was met with lots of fail pages, never got the purchase pane to load again.
    8. Aprox 10 minutes later, I get my orders page to load. It shows my order processed! at 12am!
    9. I realize that I probably just successfully ordered even more built cases. Or worse.

I tried to put down everything I could remember. If I had been thinking, I would have taken a screenshot of the weird JS errors. Anyway, it seems that there was a minor recaptcha failure (minor because it did not prevent me from purchasing) & a failure of the order process completing (never got a confirmation).

And now, I sit and wait for wimpy-deep-mystic to arrive.
