Funny you should mention it, my wife recently found a shirt on Woot she liked, but is too cheap to buy it, and she’d yell at me if I spent money on her.

We’re currently fostering a GSD, Dobby. She is a precious puppy, and has the same bi-color coloration as our boy Bruno. Here they are posing in an attempt to cash in on UMBC’s historic victory to get her adopted.
@smigit2002 Super cute. I had some difficulty fostering, some of them were hard to let go.
@moondrake I completely understand that. Bruno and Dobby are both from the same rescue. Unfortunately Bruno had a bit of a rough first year of his life, which has negativity contributed to his personality. Two years of work and socialization have seen most of those traits eliminated, but it’s constant upkeep. He’s still a good boi, though!
Dobby shows us what Bruno probably was/could have been had he had a stable household during his puppy year. It breaks our heart for him, and makes it that much harder to let her go the longer we have her. Unfortunately we simply can’t have two dogs at this point in our lives, so no matter how precious she is, she’ll have to go eventually.

@mehcuda67 Only without skunk scent. A skunk once sprayed my rain gear when I was working in NW Ontario and so had to continue to use it anyway. Yuck. Took several months to smell OK again. I almost sent it to friends in the UK as they didn’t believe me that skunks smelled bad (no skunks there) except I figured the mail service would toss it.

They handled it differently this year. Last time they put the winner (only the #1 spot) on a bunch of different merch in a sale by itself.
In some ways this time it worked better for me, since the actual community choice winner s lumped in with all the other T-List winners.

@Kidsandliz Ha! Not even close. Though I was surprised how much I made in 2017 when I got my W-2, it’s not much more than a hobby and a little extra play money.
@ACraigL Have you managed to hang on to any of that money or has it been sucked away by meh and woot? Way back when I worked in a camping store I think that at that store I more or less worked for free since I spent most of my paycheck there.
@Kidsandliz I’ve made it a habit to sock most of it away as soon as it transfers into my account. I will need a new car soon, so that’s the fund in which it’s been landing all year.

As for shirt.woot, it’s but a fraction of what it was before. A large part is due to Woot’s audience itself, but various actions and missteps over the past 6 years hasn’t helped either.
@narfcake So the audience is more of the main stream amazon customers who THINK they are getting amazing deals, rather than the more fringe fun people that were the original audience under previous ownership?
@mfladd It’s a big portion of their audience. Sadly, a good number of folks seem to not care who the artist is behind a design, but rather, bought them because they were shirts at a cheap price.
And for those who did care, they got turned off by the blanks and the constant QC issues.
