Free DuckDuckGo email tracker filtering
8You get a DuckDuckGo email address, but it forwards to whatever existing address you choose, after stripping out trackers & such. You can also use automatically generated one-time addresses for things you think will be exceptionally spammy.

I beta tested this for them for about a year. Some of the emails I get are so full of trackers that, once they are stripped out, The emails are completely blank.
The two I get all the time are from Home Depot and Tractor Supply. I’ll see if I can find some in my deleted folders and take images of them. It’s actually funny, in my opinion.
@cengland0 when reading the OP I was thinking of the irony that would occur if I used this to strip tracking from messages headed to my Gmail inbox. Thanks for coming through!
The emptiness of those emails is pretty entertaining, too.
Cool. Forward it to your proton mail account and easy peasy. The problem is that your real email has to support sending from your “public” email with DDG and DDG has to support allowing you to send from your real email saying its from DDG (SPF records in DNS, which is way more technical than regular folks will ever want to deal with), otherwise anyone could send email claiming to be from anyone else. Which was how the Internet really was until the 90s or so.
And then spam was invented, and this is why we can’t have nice things today.
Meh, trackers aren’t as bad as people like to believe.
@mexicantacos They are horrible. If I click on a link in an email, I immediately start seeing advertisements for that product and other similar items. I would be nice to be an anonymous link.
