Ubisoft is having a 3-game giveaway as well. Uplay/Ubisoft Connect. Trials Rising ia the one of interest for me. Anno 1701 and Star something is the third game.
Good today and tomorrow (19th and 20th).
@mike808 Nice I’ll check that out. I think I still have that account open.
Amazon Prime also gives away a game a week as well. There have been some good ones (Superhot comes to mind). Free is free, though.
@mike808 wait what? Where do I claim said free weekly game from Amazon?
@melonscoop It started when Amazon bought Twitch. Twitch has been morphing into Amazon Games. They’ve got a new store launcher, separate from the Twitch launcher now.
You used to log into Twitch and once it was merged with your Amazon Prime account, you see a special “Prime Loot” feed with all the current free stuff. For a while is was all mobile games, but recently have turned back to PC games.
Sometimes it was more than one free game in a drop. So far, I’ve accumulated 200+ games in the backlog. Mostly indies, but quite a few stand out.
They call it Prime Gaming. Go to gaming.amazon.com.
@mike808 Azamon Prime game stuff was pretty good but this year for some reason the stuff they’re offering has kinda dropped off. Still pretty good for random skins for League of Legends and stuff you might be playing though.
@mike808 thank you!
IsThereAnyDeal.com usually lists the giveaways on the various launchers/stores.
gog.com (Good Old Games) also gave away a free game the other day (Prison Architect?)
Back to the ATM replicator CP2077.
I pre-ordered CyberPunk2077 through Google Stadia and they included a controller and firewhatever thingy.
I’m receiving the controller and thingy box on Monday but now I hear the game is a disaster.
Was gonna be the 1st big game I’ve played since Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and now I’m sad as sad can be.
Meh-Ry Xmas.
@robthedude05 I’d say sit on CP see what they do for patches or fixes. Some people are playing despite and saying it’s fun. However, I can totally understand someone’s angry at a $60 game filled with issues that break the immersion.
@robthedude05 I would just get the refund if you can. And order it later at a discount. I never buy new games… They are on sale quick and there’s a backlog I’ll never play lol.
@robthedude05 is your only platform stadia? I have no experience but maybe someone can recommend a large open world game to fill your holiday? In general fallout/farcry/just cause. Still haven’t played witcher 3 through.
Skyrim is even still workable if you skipped it and that’s your style
I’m on the fence about Fuser (but in researching it, I learned about Clone Hero - time to dig out the old GH controllers).
I also remember Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater very fondly from back in the day - the remastered THPS 1+2 is $19.99 after coupon.
The Epic sale is good until January 7, so I’m gonna think on it for a minute. Thanks for the heads up!
@djslack Don’t think on it. There’s a different free game every day during the sale. You get a $10 off coupon each free game because it is considered a purchase (for $0). When/if you buy games on sale, purchase games one at a time to use a separate $10 off coupon for each one, since you’ve been banking them with each daily free game.
@djslack I really enjoyed all those band games so I’m heavily considering it.
Another good one for packs of games or even books, and utility programs is humblebundle.com plus it goes to a good cause. Try that.
@Targaryen oh, I get humble bundle and fanatical emails on the reg. They account for the majority of my game purchases by volume, because I don’t often need to get the latest thing. I just bought the nitro bundle (to get all the project cars DLC) and some ebooks from fanatical last night. HB does have the benefit of charity, but fanatical does good sales too.
I don’t know that I appreciate what I’ve seen of the mechanics of fuser as much as I did guitar hero and rock band (or dj hero for that matter). It seems more like build a good deck, drop things on the beat, and just cope with the request stream rather than progress from easy to insane button pushing. Building those skills was fun. I could just break out my actual DJ gear (which is probably what fuser would lead to). But it does seem like a fun way to chill with music while halfway doing something with it. More of a creating mixes that you can’t screw up than executing a track type thing. I bet I wind up buying it this week despite being unsure how long I’ll actually play it.
