@Star2236 Honestly can’t say I have really found much use for any that I have gotten. I have gotten 11 now with IRKS and put one in my truck hidden just to see how it can ping.
Don’t really use for keys or wallet, to annoying to carry attached anywhere. Might should put them in backpacks I use.
My Sidedeal flavored IRK is enroute and should be waiting for me when I get home from work this evening. The cats are hoping for another good cardboard box. I wouldn’t mind something fun I could pass on to my nephews, especially the older one. Today is his birthday and the radiation sensor he wanted is on the slow boat from China so it’s going to be a bit before it arrives. I’m still not entirely certain why he wants to add a radiation sensor to the portable air quality measurement device he’s building. But if it’s as cool as the Big Mouth Billy Bass he made into a bluetooth speaker, I’m all for it. (He’s one of THOSE kinds of geeks. And I couldn’t be prouder. )
Pretty standard size and weight for an IRK. It contained:
-A 20 pack of KN95 masks. Since I’m fully vaccinated and prefer cloth masks when I do have to wear them, I’ll keep some of these for myself for disaster response trips/the next pandemic and pass the rest on to my dad (also fully vaccinated) to use when he does dusty projects/disaster response trips.
-A set of pot lid stackers. I’ll give these a try but will likely end up donating them.
-A single pixel tracker. Is there a way to get a map of where this goes throughout the day rather than just a single point in time location? It might be fun to keep tabs on the backyard kitties.
-A three pack of kids’ funky colored socks. My honorary niece will enjoy these.
-An Orange IRK bag. I think that makes three orange ones. I’m okay with that. I think the orange ones are my third favorite (behind yellow and purple)
-A very fine box for the kitties.
-A single pixel tracker. Is there a way to get a map of where this goes throughout the day rather than just a single point in time location? It might be fun to keep tabs on the backyard kitties

So my Foot-rathon IRK arrived. Nothing stand out this time.

So mostly stuff I can’t use this time. However, I did say mostly. I actually have found a use for these TrackR Pixels. You see I have farm animals on my property and I collect the eggs every day but the Turkeys have decided to hide their egg nests from me. So I wrap these TrackRs to the Turkeys and use my phone to locate where they are hiding their eggs. To make myself look cooler, I play the Tricorder sound from Star Trek on my phone so that it makes it look like I’m scanning for life signs. Super cool
Mine arrived with a note mentioning my recent surgery and the theme of my IRK was things to use or do during recovery.

@opivp99 in general they are random. Once in a while though it seems the powers that be in the shipping warehouse become aware of random comments made in the forum, either because they notice or because it is called out to them by someone, and they act upon it. I am grateful to be the recipient of special attention this go round
@Felton10 Soooo…. If you post a lot, or “KHJ” likes you, or something like that… then you get a better IRK. As I said before - interesting. I had really hoped it was random. That’s disappointing.
@opivp99 I’m not sure if most would consider the IRK I got which consisted of every type of ball imaginable including a can of nuts just because of my testicle comment a “better IRK” or everything wrapped in bubble wrap in my last few IRKs because of my obsession with bubble wrap something others would want either.
@Felton10@opivp99 I don’t think most of them are personalized. There are far too many irks bought, it would be too hard to know much about most people who are lucky enough to score one, and it would take far too much time. Not to mention they still have all their unsold junk they need to park in irks to get rid of them since we are their fire sale dumpster pile. As a result I’d guess just a few are personalized. I’d guess some additional number are randomly chosen to get good stuff (of course that has always been the case).
@Kidsandliz@opivp99 Could be a which came first the chicken or the egg type of thing. Cybilyak and I both got gaming systems in one of our IRKs and then got personalized ones so maybe our postings about those really good IRKs put us on KHJ’s radar.
@Felton10@Kidsandliz I suppose saying a “better” IRK is in the eye of the receiver, I should have said “personalized” or “unique”. What we all have agreed is that a certain number of IRKs are non-random and that some people are being singled out for special treatment. So that said, are there rules we should know about? If I post something do I have a better chance of getting a personalized IRK? Do I need to create the topic myself? Is there a certain topic that might increase the odds of me getting a personalized/unique/better IRK? Since it’s definitely not all random I just want a level playing field.
@Felton10@opivp99 Based on who has gotten irks that they were happy with and said they really wanted, the range of people seems to be from those who rarely post to those who post a lot. It still is a really rare occurrence though considering how many thousands of them they send out a year. Maybe it is done as a joke based on the “balls” one and the others are random except in rare cases? Unless the meh gods choose to tell us I doubt we will know what the process is/if there is one at all. I suppose if you happened to be chosen and you have posted a lot they’d know more about you to then have something to go by than if you rarely posted.

I got the cuisinart griddler elite. Nothing else. The back plate that holds the drip tray is broken off but otherwise it looks good. Thinking I’ll probably keep it…i have a similar calphalon griddle thing that’s larger but doesn’t have reversible plates. It’s not a high-use item around here, either way, but…might be nice to have a newer one.
Side note, last irk I got the cuisinart 3 function slow cooker. Very nice, but since I already have a multicooker I gave it away in my neighborhood. That was also fun, and no regret to be had.
My boyfriend and I both completely missed the mehrathon that just happened and now I am FILLED WITH REGRET. So there it is. Regret one way or another.

Ha! Several of my students use their bras as a purse. Once a girl in the front row leaned over to pick up a pencil and out fell her phone, wallet, keys and a pile of other junk. Oh and her boob. Another one I caught putting cheat notes back into her bra after a test.
May I suggest putting the food in zip locks before you stuff the stuff in your bra though (grin).
@Kidsandliz that’s hilarious! I used to teach middle school and I never had students who would hide things in their bras (at least not that I know of lol). The most ingenious cheating method I ever busted though was a girl who wrote all her notes on the inside of a water bottle label.
@bblood I had a hard of hearing student once. She taught finger spelling to a couple of her friends and they cheated that way. I had to separate them big time when I gave tests.

@wifeduck I got a set of twin sheets, didn’t have twin bed so thought not useful. Then partner got covid and I slept on the couch for 2 weeks and the twin sheets fit the ouch cushion pretty well. Might be useful for you that way.

@bblood If you plan to get rid of the bras (and not use them for your secret food stash) donate them to your local battered women’s shelter. Few people donate new bras, underwear or socks. Often those folks leave with the clothes on their backs and little else.

After a very long Friday, of a very long week at work, (think teacher at the end of the school year.), I found this big box sitting on my doorstep. I circled it warily, not expecting a delivery and suspicious of the contents. I looked at the side of the box, and saw that it said “Concierge Collection Comforter Set”. Or something like that. I have since sent the box to the recycle bin. Because I am functioning on mere fumes at this point in time, I thought perhaps I had ordered and simply forgot about it.. I dragged it in the house and dumped it on its side and saw the telltale signs of an IRK bag poking out the seams.
The box contained:

Mine made it to Georgia two days ago. Got an update that it would be delivered yesterday. Now the tracking number says it should be delivered between June 20-27. I could walk to Georgia, pick it up, and walk home before then.

@Felton10 @opivp99 Based on who has gotten irks that they were happy with and said they really wanted, the range of people seems to be from those who rarely post to those who post a lot. It still is a really rare occurrence though considering how many thousands of them they send out a year. Maybe it is done as a joke based on the “balls” one and the others are random except in rare cases? Unless the meh gods choose to tell us I doubt we will know what the process is/if there is one at all. I suppose if you happened to be chosen and you have posted a lot they’d know more about you to then have something to go by than if you rarely posted.

@joshua7kim I got that in the last one! I don’t know which -rathon it was from… They threw in a few other things, including an irk bag, but this time i didn’t my bag either.
@joshua7kim - contact support. They will send you one as that is the only thing guaranteed you will get in irks.

@joelmw I’ve been wanting the smaller oral irrigator like that. Have the big one takes up too much counter space. Also curious about the one that can connect a hose in line to shower so not using power or tank, just don’t think it would have much power.
Earliest I’ve received my IRK and was hoping for some extra regret. FedEx showed up about 4 hours later than normal, so I was extra hopeful:

I got the cuisinart griddler elite. Nothing else. The back plate that holds the drip tray is broken off but otherwise it looks good. Thinking I’ll probably keep it…i have a similar calphalon griddle thing that’s larger but doesn’t have reversible plates. It’s not a high-use item around here, either way, but…might be nice to have a newer one.
Side note, last irk I got the cuisinart 3 function slow cooker. Very nice, but since I already have a multicooker I gave it away in my neighborhood. That was also fun, and no regret to be had.
My boyfriend and I both completely missed the mehrathon that just happened and now I am FILLED WITH REGRET. So there it is. Regret one way or another.

-a large MFK hobo bag (I’ve never used a purse and don’t plan on starting, but its cute enough to be used as a last minute gift so I’ll say it’s a win)
-two ginormous bras (44 DDD … my 36B’s immediately felt like under achievers)
Overall not to shabby and I got a good laugh. Oh, also, I am 100% going to use one of the bras to sneak a whole bunch of food into the next movie I go to

Ha! Several of my students use their bras as a purse. Once a girl in the front row leaned over to pick up a pencil and out fell her phone, wallet, keys and a pile of other junk. Oh and her boob. Another one I caught putting cheat notes back into her bra after a test.
May I suggest putting the food in zip locks before you stuff the stuff in your bra though (grin).

that’s hilarious! I used to teach middle school and I never had students who would hide things in their bras (at least not that I know of lol). The most ingenious cheating method I ever busted though was a girl who wrote all her notes on the inside of a water bottle label.
@bblood I had a hard of hearing student once. She taught finger spelling to a couple of her friends and they cheated that way. I had to separate them big time when I gave tests.

The pillow shams are so cute, I love the bright yellow. Those bra sizing are so off. I wear a 34DD now before it was a 34D but had some one send me a 36c as it was the alternate size and it was so small I couldn’t fit into it.

All in all, I consider this kit a win mostly for the sheets and mud mask. Either one alone would be worth the $5 to me.
I’m 5 IRKs in now, and have 1 Prize (air fryer), 2 wins (this and the kit that had a nice backpack and essential oil humidifier) , and 2 meh.
We don’t have any twin beds, but the grandkids do, I might have mentioned my battery obsession before, so those are always a win.
@wifeduck I got a set of twin sheets, didn’t have twin bed so thought not useful. Then partner got covid and I slept on the couch for 2 weeks and the twin sheets fit the ouch cushion pretty well. Might be useful for you that way.

@bblood If you plan to get rid of the bras (and not use them for your secret food stash) donate them to your local battered women’s shelter. Few people donate new bras, underwear or socks. Often those folks leave with the clothes on their backs and little else.

After a very long Friday, of a very long week at work, (think teacher at the end of the school year.
), I found this big box sitting on my doorstep. I circled it warily, not expecting a delivery and suspicious of the contents. I looked at the side of the box, and saw that it said “Concierge Collection Comforter Set”. Or something like that. I have since sent the box to the recycle bin. Because I am functioning on mere fumes at this point in time, I thought perhaps I had ordered and simply forgot about it.
. I dragged it in the house and dumped it on its side and saw the telltale signs of an IRK bag poking out the seams.
The box contained:
1 of the aforementioned Comforter Sets in a Full/Queen size that will fit the beds in the house.

2 packs of Little Monsters kid socks. Will see if I can squeeze into these cause they are cute. Otherwise, will have on hand as needed in my classroom.

Mine made it to Georgia two days ago. Got an update that it would be delivered yesterday. Now the tracking number says it should be delivered between June 20-27. I could walk to Georgia, pick it up, and walk home before then.
I got a semi-standard irk this time, but kind extra portions of everything (everything has been irked before so I’m not going to pile it all up for a pic, because I’ve already put it away, but:
Fingers crossed that the may flowirk has something unique and useful in it. I’ve had some great luck and some very standard luck with recent irks. But that’s the fun, isn’t it?
