Several years ago, a neighbor that I was close to passed away. His son gave me a stack of his long sleeve shirts, some rather heavy. I wear those.
I’m female, so they’re way too big for me, but are good to wear as a light ‘jacket’, and it brings back fond memories of good days with a good friend.
I don’t really care how they look. They make me feel warm…in several different ways.
My base layer tends to be a cardigan (as part of my ensemble), then if it’s cool &/or breezy enough, I’ll put a hoodie over it. That takes me most of the way through the New England winter, unless I’m spending any longer outdoors than going from heated car to heated indoor space, which I try to avoid as much as possible! Unfortunately, there’s a lot of shoveling in my near future. Ugh.
whatever it is, if I am going to have to put it on/take it off when going from outside to inside and back outside, it will definitelyNOT be a pull-over style!!

They make you look like the wonderful friend I am sure you were.
@chienfou What a nice compliment!
Good friends are hard to find. It takes both to make it good.

zip-up fleece jacket
Flannel, or the nice stretch fleece shirts I picked up a couple of years ago.
Cool weather is hoodie weather. Anyone wearing anything else is wrong.
@TheCO2 cool weather was before it was how freezing
@unksol Unless it’s windy, I’ll wear a hoodie until it is maybe 10°.
As light a jacket as I can find or a denim work shirt, No hoodies!
