I tend to have a go-to brand for specific products. Like Le Creuset for stockpots/dutch ovens, Victorinox for everyday cooking knives, Mercer for bread knife, Vitamix for blender, etc… for instance, I like the Cuisinart food processor and griddler and that’s about it.
@awk Almost the only kitchen things I have significant brand loyalty for are my Kitchenaid stand mixer and the Cuisinart food processor. Beyond those, not as much.
No favorites here either. Of the major small appliances in current use, the food processor is a Cuisinart, the stand mixer is a KitchenAid, and the toaster oven is a Breville.
The only loyalty is the price for its condition when I buy it from the thrift store.
@narfcake I actually find that older equipment, as long as they’re not falling apart, winds up being quite durable. (Roundabout way of saying all brands are good brands if you can find their earlier products.)
@pakopako Another aspect is whether there are replacement parts for items that can get damaged or wear out. My folks’ Cuisinart food processor is almost 40 years old. The base unit is original, but the bowl, lid, and blades sure aren’t.
@katbyter I like both but the story behind Blendtec is cool. Tom (yes the Tom of Will it Blend fame) gave a couple a wedding gift of a blender. It broke in about a month so he became determined to make a blender that would not break.
Also, I got a great deal on mine when meh sold them several years ago.
I recently bought a kettle from OXO website that seems to be working well. But I have no brand loyalty, I buy what fits my need and isn’t too crazy expensive.
Whatever meh can offer and possibly convince me that we need at the time.
Our most oft-used (and probably therefore favorite kitchen appliance) is our motif electric pourover coffee machine. The very reason we entered this meh wormhole so many years ago. Who knew a coffee maker could be life changing?
KitchenAid stand mixer that I got as a gift from the neighbor. I accidentally burned up my old one fromy parents experimenting a little too hard with pizza dough. I go through stand mixers pretty quick but KitchenAid is the best.
Cuisinart is my favorite food processor.
I have unnamed knives from my grandparents that are excellent quality.
I like cast iron cookware, but I have also been happy with Circulon.
Got a set of Cuisinart pots and pans from here a year or so ago and the coatings are all peeling off.
I do really love the little no-name Dutch oven I got from here.
Like, I’ll try anything at an attractive enough price, but certain brands seem to do certain jobs well.
It depends on what’s on clearence when I need to buy/replace something. Brand loyalty is usually a way to get suckered into spending too much.
These days many are brands only, just a trademark to sell something new gliding on some other companies past reputation.

@awk Yes! This!

That is what I LOVE about Yard Sale stuff!
