Mai tai is for more formal events.
I prefer naked and famous if there aren’t visitors.
(I know basically nothing about drinks beyond a few names that have stuck with me. So I used Wikipedia to find that basically nothing was going to work as well for the pun as “mai tai” did.)
@Kyeh
Great minds! Definitely best drink of the summer. Don’t ever go to Miami and tell them you cant taste the liquor in them lol, I had to be carried back to the hotel.
Frozen daiquiri.
If not available (or feeling too lazy to make my own), just a good bourbon on the rocks (or even better, neat with a chaser on the rocks).
@phendrick Katrina caused Houston to inherit and embrace many transplants from Nawlins, and we now have drive-through dacquiri places. (And we have some excellent jazz venues, too.)
Fruity Pleaser.
A pint glass with ice
Fill halfway with orange juice
Fill another quarter of the way with cranberry juice
Glug in some vodka
Add a little 7-Up
Enjoy.
I always wanted to try an aperol spritzer, it just sounded good. I saw it on a menu New Orleans and got so excited. It wasn’t very good, I can’t remember exactly what it tasted like ( I drank a lot) I think it was very sour. What I did like that I tried was pimms cup, very refreshing on a hot day.
Mai Tai
@hchavers My tie is for more formal events.
[insert clever pun]
is for casual relaxation.Okay, maybe I’ve got it:

@Star2236
I would never tell them that - I’m such a lightweight!
@Kyeh @Star2236 Adding my mind to this drinking circle.

An Arnold Palmer,
When you can’t decide between iced tea or lemonade, mix the two!
Add vodka for an extra spiked chill.
@lonocat Never understood how he gets credit for something I was drinking before I heard of him.
@lonocat @yakkoTDI He had better marketing and a less aromatic trunk.
@lonocat @werehatrack The marketing part makes sense. I was kind of poor back then.
Is ice cold beer a cocktail?
Because that’s what to have on a hot day.
@2many2no It is in the South!
@2many2no @hchavers Beer cocktails are a thing too
Piña Colada gelatin shots. Pineapple gelatin, coconut rum.

@Star2236 So you did go on that New Orleans trip, it sounds like? Was it fun?

Tom collins, G&T, or a mojito. Paloma is also a nice summer cocktail.
Gin and Tonic all summer long.
Adult lemonade or a spiked iced tea. Gin & tonic is a close third.
Frozen strawberry or peach dacquiri or frozen strawberry 'rita, no salt.
A favorite throughout the galaxy… a ginnan tonixx
I make what I call a Phil Collins, which is a Tom Collins but with peach instead of lime.
Huckleberry lemon drop
A really good mock-tail.
i really like Pineapple with a little Cherry juice.
A Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster!
