That being said, I loved that show but I didn’t watch it until sometime in the 2010s. I was super into Jhonen’s previous work of Johnny The Homicidal Maniac. I still follow him on Instagram.

@LaVikinga@RiotDemon I think by “classic Nick Show” they meant within the first few years of Nickolodeon Studios making their own shows (which started in 1990). These were the shows that earned the brand enough the money and reputation to keep it afloat (prior to 1990 nick was a relatively unknown station that didn’t really make any of its own shows).

The kids on the teams didn’t really know each other and got paired randomly, and it wasn’t really “winnable” unless they wanted to let a team win. They could always just have a guy jump out and grab a kid to end what could otherwise be a successful run.

I know it was on Cartoon Network, not Nickelodeon, but I gotta mention “Courage the Cowardly Dog.” Basically the same plot every episode, but still funny as shit.

of the choices, salute your shorts would be my runner up but i also loved hey dude, clarissa explains it all, and the SNICK programming. (all that, are you afraid of the dark, & roundhouse being my favorites in that category.)
when i was younger it was PBS all the way (mathnet and ghostwriter were my faves) but nickelodeon was great for that in between phase of too old for PBS and too young for “regular” tv. i even had a subscription to the magazine

KaBlam! was the best Nickelodeon show ever. Action League Now!, Prometheus and Bob, and wonderful hosts Henry and June — plus the music on the show was the best.
I thought I was the only one who remembered Weinerville! Nobody ever knows about it, and I don’t think it ever got a home media release. Truly a weird but innovative show.
Seeing how it spawned multiple theatrical movies, it seems like “Rugrats” should have at least made the list. Same with the crossover series “The Wild Thornberrys”

Double Dare, The Amanda Show, Hey Arnold, and the best animated series in the history of television, Rugrats.
Double Dare was great and Marc Summers really made the show. It’s not even close to the same show with Liza Koshy.
