Body analysis? Still just a scale. I want it to tell me if I have a tape worm. Whether I need to trim my ear hair. Count appendages and compare it to yesterday’s appendage count. Tell me which direction I’m facing. Confirm that my right profile is my good side. You know, the basics.
@elpepe I wonder if you got a bad one or something. Mine works quite well and I did the same thing when I first got it (stepped on it multiple times in a row, feet in different spots, etc.) to see if it would give different results. (Okay, that plus I had to step on it MANY times at first just so I could read that display that went way too fast for me. ) Mine displayed exactly the same each time.
@elpepe Same here as @kathyl – I bought one in May and it works perfectly, as far as weight. The other numbers can vary a bit from one minute to the next (if my feet are more or less wet after a shower, for example). But the overall trend for body fat and muscle mass has been accurate.
@elpepe I’m with everyone else, it sounds like you may have gotten a faulty one. Mine works great for weight alone - But as I said in an earlier post, I don’t weigh enough for the other fancy features.
@Glucose well if i did get a faulty one, then i have really bad luck with meh. because my sony headphones were also defective, and meh referred me to the manufacturer. i don’t have time to deal with sending products to manufacturers. i want to deal with the retailer.
@elpepe I weigh myself daily. This scale is not kept on the bathroom floor but in the linen closet (pesky little kids mess with it if left out). Every time I use it, my first weigh-in is exactly 3.0 pounds more than my second one. Every weigh-in after the first is the same. I guess I’d make sure it’s always left on the floor, then check for consistency?
@elpepe My meh is also defective. I wish mine only varied 3 lbs, I can work around that. Mine registers random numbers between 27 and 47 lbs, depending on the tides, I guess.
@elpepe Sometimes the scale goes through some sort of calibration process. The first time I used mine the answer was bogus. The second time I tried, it agreed with my balance beam scale to within a quarter pound (honest weight, no springs).
Ever since then, I go through the weighing process twice, just in case it needs to calibrate again.
Some scales are smart enough to know when they need calibration. The display tells you to step off and back on. This scale is not that bright.
If it consistently gives inconsistent results on a hard surface, it is broken. Try the rattle test, gently shake it near your ear. If something rattles in one of the feet, that foot is bad.
Bought this back in May and it’s been great. The scale it replaced needed to be turned on, and to tell anything other than weight you needed to identify who was standing on the scale. This you just step on and it goes, and once you’ve entered profiles it identifies who’s standing on it based on the weight it registers. So if you have two people with similar weights it’s still not going to be able to tell them apart of course. It’s low-profile and stylish – definitely worth the money in my book.
Bought last time.
Scale does a neat trick.
Step on, get weight, step off.
Let scale turn off.
Step back on.
Like magic, you have lost 2.8 pounds in under a minute!
Good price and excellent as a scale, other measurements (BMI, bone density) meh! It told me my bone density was comparable to that of a paper mache’ puppet. I called the company and the lady said hers showed the same thing and they would look into it. I haven’t heard from them since.
I bought this scale last time to replace a digital scale that I have had for close to 10 years. Unfortunately, it is wildly inaccurate. If you want to know your weight +/-5 lbs, than this is the scale for you. I am not sure how accurate the BMI and other measurements it gives are. It says that I only have 4 lbs of bone in my body. I am 6’ 2" with an above average frame. I would guess that it would be more than that.
Bought this last time. Love it as a scale, other data, not so much. I have the same issue with bone density readings as others. BMI is also inaccurate. Great scale, since that’s all I was needing, I wasn’t disappointed.
Got this last time. Doesn’t work. (Didn’t try it until way past 30 days, undecided on whether it’s worth sending to mfr.) Displays random weights between 27 and 47 lbs.
I bought one back in May - did not work out of the box - Meh said to contact the manufacturer - One email to them and they were shipping a new one out next day…2 days later - the faulty one began working…now I have 2…The second one is now going with my son to college…
I kinda want one. On the other hand, I’ve seen glass-top scales fail spectacularly and I don’t feel like cleaning exploded glass off of another bathroom floor.
My first meh purchase. I’ve been wanting one of these. Great price! I’m working out and getting smaller, but not losing weight, which is fine. I’d like to see if some of the other numbers change.
Got this one recently; it works nicely as a scale, but the other metrics are – a bit off. I’m a largish fella (250+), but it claims that my skeleton weighs only 4.5 pounds(!).
If you don’t care about the other metrics, it’s a nice scale.
I think this is common knowledge, but just in case: realize any body composition numbers given by electronic resistance devices like this should be taken with a fairly large grain of salt. They can vary pretty significantly depending on overall hydration level, moisture on the skin that is contacting the scale, and a few other things.
That said, if you want/need something other than the mirror to track progress, <$20 isn’t bad for an electronic scale.
I bought this last time, before I did any homework about electronic scales. Turns out it’s less accurate, by far, than my 40-year-old mechanical scale. Weigh myself once, wait five minutes, weigh myself again: 6 pound difference. If I could lose weight that quickly and easily, why am I overweight?
I just for mine today and I like it. Seems like a good scale.
My wife doesn’t line it as much as me. She called me while I was driving home from work and told me the new scale came and that it hates her. (For some time I have known that or old scale was off by about 5 pounds). Anyways my (drunk at the time) wife proceeds to rant about how the new scale is mean and that we need to return it…
I think it will become a permanent part of the faculty

Weigh to go – meh is scaling back tonight it seems…
The only scale I use is from the “Sound of Music”…do, re, mi…
Bought it last time, LOVE it, works great!
So how much cheaper this time than last time? Huh.
@f00l May 19… Surprisingly $14 then also!
/giphy meh
I scaled back tonight’s activities for this? Meh.
I guess I’m going to have to weight for something I want/need.
sorrowful-snarky-mongoose. I needed a new scale anyway.
@simtel20
/giphy snarky
I weigh two plenty no need to weigh in on this deal.
Body analysis? Still just a scale. I want it to tell me if I have a tape worm. Whether I need to trim my ear hair. Count appendages and compare it to yesterday’s appendage count. Tell me which direction I’m facing. Confirm that my right profile is my good side. You know, the basics.
@MehnofLaMehncha I just bought an expensive drone. The technology blows my mind.
Honestly I think we’re pretty close to the product you desire.
If you want though you can hire me, we’ll use the scale for the weight and I can take care of the rest. PM me for pricing. Lowest cost on Meh!
this scale is shit.
it gives different numbers if you stand on it multiple times in a row.
sometimes it varies up to 2 lbs like 10 seconds later.
it’s more like a guess than an accurate number.
@elpepe I wonder if you got a bad one or something. @elpepe take it off the shag carpeting and place it on a hard floor.
Either that or consistently put yer beer down or keep holding it when weighing self.
Or you’ve stumbled on how to weigh your poo whilst never touching it.
@elpepe I’m with everyone else, it sounds like you may have gotten a faulty one. Mine works great for weight alone - But as I said in an earlier post, I don’t weigh enough for the other fancy features.

@elpepe Mine I got last time it was here is the exact same way. Cheap POS if you ask me.
@elpepe My meh is also defective. I wish mine only varied 3 lbs, I can work around that. Mine registers random numbers between 27 and 47 lbs, depending on the tides, I guess.

Recommendation: abandon your existing meh ID/account and create a new one using your (friendly) neighbor’s address.
Meh won’t know how to find you to send you the broken crap they wouldn’t even put in Fukus.

I’ve wanted a scale for the longest time! the Goodwill ones, well, they aren’t that accurate!
@wew Glad you’re still alive. I think you’ll like this one
I bought it! hello? Hello?
Am I alright?
@wew We lost him!
RIP wew
I’m so skinny the last one I bought will only read my weight
Ugh, damn metabolism
Edit: Cool scale though - I totally recommend buying one, it worked really well for my former roommate.

@mherold wow, just commented that mine does the same thing. First weigh-in always 3.0 more than subsequent ones (which are consistently the same). Hm…
@jaybakes72 I like the second reading, but regretfully the first is the accurate one
@mherold damn it, I just gained 3.0 pounds!
@jaybakes72 Stay calm and get back on…
I bought one last time, it’s cool and seems consistent to me. So, I just bought another to give as a Christmas gift.
Oh God; does Christmas shopping in August mean I’m turning into my parents?

I’ve just got to scale back on my … weight for it… heavy online shopping habit.
Wonder if it works on the moon
Still weighing my options. . .
what happens when you press the SET button? surely it magically improves the BMI of anyone who sets foot on it.

@Neghtasro BroTip: Don’t wear your drag stillettos when you use this scale.
This only goes to 400 lbs. I’ll wait for the pro model.
@Simboo thanks, I was actually looking for the upper limit. I’m about 330, and didn’t want to buy one just to have it break upon first use…
I don’t want to know.
My first meh purchase. I’ve been wanting one of these. Great price! I’m working out and getting smaller, but not losing weight, which is fine. I’d like to see if some of the other numbers change.
Anyone know if I can use more than one broke stabby code (I have two) on one item? Essentially I can get this for free if I can with VMP.
@mike808 current technical limitation of one coupon code per order is likely to remain (avoids crazy complexity of coupon stacking game)
How long do the batteries last? Anyone know? I’m sure no one has 2032’s just laying around the house.
@Fuzzalini they’re only a bit more than 50 cents each.

Luckily, I see it also measures ‘stones’. Everyone needs to know how many stones they weigh…
Or… would that be Rolling Stones?
From the owner manual:
Hadn’t heard that one before - perhaps the attorneys got hold of the manual?
What type of “liability”? Financial, personal injury, personal property? All? Their “cost”?
Am looking to reduce and this has taken a lot of weight off my shoulders …

@Chakolate you can always use the lowest weight, then tell your friends…and I just weighed myself this morning…
Sold out, the Fatties bought them all!!!

Weight seems accurate, but I’m 6’1" with a robust frame and only have 4 lbs of bone? Not likely.
