10 opened so far, each with a single 10lb bag of roma pasta in the bottom, along with lots of tooth whitening powder, iphone 7 battery cases, car chargers, bluetooth trackers, commemorative IRK toothbrushing coins, CLAWS slippers, socks, and who knows what else.

I’ll upload more pictures later, along with counts of all the items, but this is the craziest IRK I’ve ever gotten. Is it because I said meh hasn’t made me regret any purchases lately? Did I tempt fate?
@ConradHilton Definitely tempted fate. There are going to be some really happy non-profits if you donate most of that. Well probably not the tooth whitening powder. I hope you find some stuff in there you want to keep.
I’d imagine you will get some requests off of here for some of the toothbrush fiasco coins as several have said they really wanted one. And I am sure many people will be thrilled you got a ton of bluetooth trackers so they won’t get more. LOL

FWIW, I was able to donate the two cases of of Clawz to a local family shelter organization.

I’m talking to local charities about picking up 690 lbs of the 740 I got, because the student pantry I talked to can’t do it quite yet, because it’s summer, but a homeless shelter close to me recently started cooking meals for the homeless again, and I’m going to see if they can pick up the pasta and maybe the overflowing box of little monsters socks I got.
Hmmmmmm. It hard enough to get one, and you got 700 lbs? Ummmmm. Impossible I think.

I’m in the DFW area and haven’t been wearing my tinfoil hat recently (it’s itchy!). So it’s possible I’m picking up some cross-chatter from the various mind control beams Meh and other organizations are sending out.
@gt0163c well, maybe lend me your tinfoil hat, because I’m almost convinced that they dropped it off themselves when they saw that I was just in Mesquite. The shipping status of the IRK still just says “processing” and I didn’t recognize the truck on my ring app, so I have no way of knowing who put the pallet of linguine in front of my house.

@sillyheathen @ConradHilton Yeah and are you sure your floor can hold up 740 pounds of pasta or your car can carry that much weight? Oh yeah - and YOU get to carry that much weight to donate it. LOL Actually the student food pantry likely will carry it for you and the students will be thrilled. Of course 10 pounds is a lot of pasta if you are only cooking for one (which I am sure some of them are cooking for more) in which case they may eventually curse you. But then again students are known to eat ramon noodles for days on end so maybe not since this is a step up.

18 iphone 7 charging cases. Now 15, because I realized that cases compatible with the 7 also work on the 2020 SE since it’s just an iphone 8 with a better processor, so me and the two other SE owners I know now have 3100maH charging cases.
81 jars of tooth whitening charcoal.
36 micro-b chargers, 8 of which are car chargers.

@ConradHilton I speak on good authority, based on one cat who thought that the cardboard under the 42 pound, 4 bag cat litters (so has really low sides like that), that this is a cat trap bed/box. You put it on the ground in an appropriate place for the cat you want to trap and it will climb in.

@ConradHilton @Kidsandliz My cats LOVE boxes like that too. Whenever I go to Sams I bring them a couple of new ones. It’s like Christmas morning as they climb in, sniff them, roll around and rub their faces on them. I put a blanket into one during our snowpocalypse back in February and it’s become one of my furry weirdo’s favorite beds.

@ConradHilton @Kidsandliz Early this year I took a chance and bought a cat tower for my furry weirdos. I was nervous that they would just ignore it and I would have wasted a good chunk of money. Turns out I was wrong. The cats were very curious about it when I started putting it together. Most of the posts are wrapped in rope and as soon as I got the first one up one of my cats started using it as a scratching post. They were jumping up on the platforms as soon as I got them added. I moved the tower to right in front of my living room windows and now it’s one of my cats’ favorite places to lounge and watch the goings on in the yard. Sometimes the little weirdos surprise you.

Those socks are the best, I’ve gotten two sets so far and I love them. My sister wants to try that whitening powder so bad. I had a jar but threw it out. Any 000 toothbrush coins? You could make a claws garden wall with all the claws you have or donate them to some nice people.

@Kidsandliz @mehuser1212 Charcoal is great for absorbing odors, though. If I had all those jars, I’d put them in some tightly woven bags and stash them in closets or something. Or in a shaker jar with a perforated top, in the fridge or freezer.
I’m pretty skeptical of any of the “activated charcoal” products that are mixed with other stuff. Seems like the charcoal would just immediately absorb whatever its been mixed with, leaving you with a slightly misbalanced goo and a bunch of inert black dust.

@futurian I recall someone else from here got a pallet of seizure-inducing trippin’ light goggles, another got thousands of peanut butter/jelly spreaders.
@ciabelle @futurian And one got a pallet of broken TV’s, of which they managed to make a few working ones out of that. I was called about getting them but I literally had no place to put a pallet so I had to turn them down. They were offered to me as I had made a working laptop out of two broken ones so paid a total of $50 for mac laptop. I would have loved to get that (Joekoolhand don’t get any ideas, I still, literally, have no place to put a bunch of broken TV’s in 525sf) as then I could have made at least one working one to use instead of my then 1993 Sony 12" one.
@ciabelle @futurian @Kidsandliz I would have LOVED to get a pallet of broken tv’s and/or laptops. That’s the exact kind of thing I like to do. On a related note, one of my last IRKs was 2 sound bars taped together, and the only issue between them was that one had a broken power brick. $10 and a week and a half later, and I have 2 sound bars.

@cbilyak @rinrinrin People often give away pallets. Go to craigslist and put it under wanted along with nextdoor for your area and facebook marketplace. Or just wander around big box stores and ask if they have any broken ones they are throwing out you can have.
@Kidsandliz He’s never really sought out free pallets (and he has no shortage of scrap wood either), but always acts like he’s won a prize when he acquires a pallet by “luck” (mostly if I receive equipment at work or we have bought new appliances. Most recently it was because our church got new appliances).
@rinrinrin win an irk and you are likely to get a bunch if it isn’t too expensive to send them - well if someone notices your posts on the subject.
@rinrinrin a little industry inside knowledge…free pallets are pretty easy to score… most warehouses have stacks of unusable ones they cant sell to recyclers… just hit the docks and ask for the warehouse manager… should not take more than a few before you get offered a ton of them… typically grocery warehouse are a no go… even unusable broken ones can get money back due to them being food safe

With over 740lbs of pasta, how many tomatoes would you need to make a dish with all of it? I estimate almost 500 servings and about 1 lb of tomatoes per serving would be quite a few cases of tomatoes for 500 lbs of tomatoes. Then add the ground beef, garlic and cheese… oh my. Gonna need a bigger oven.

@braveit1 is that ~1.5lb of pasta per serving? I mean, I like pasta and all but that might even make an Italian grandma stop saying “you need to eat”.
By my calculations it’s more like 6000 dietary-recommended servings, or maybe 2000-2500 American servings. I wanna see the pot and burner big enough to boil all that water. Fire it up and I’ll see you on Friday when it’s ready to put the noodles in. I’ll for sure bring my appetite, sounds good!

It was worse and better than expected. Only 6 pairs of clawz (swim team wants them) but 10 pack of the mac book cases that really have no other use.

@raccoon81 Hopefully better although what you got looks about average. Put the macbook cases on facebook market or nextdoor or craigslist for a $1-2 dollars and see what happens. You might at least get back the cost of your irk.
My end of June one had one flap of the box mostly open (tape was bunched up against the flap that held) and the only thing in it was a wighted blanket and a ton of space. No idea what all fell out except I know for sure the irk bag. Likely at one point it was put upside down and the 20 pound weight of the blanket was too much to hold the tape. I’ll get around to posting mine at some point.
@Kidsandliz The unknown of an open package is the worst! A weighted blanket isn’t bad though. That is tough to hold with the tape job coming out on these.
Might post them up for free. In general I wouldn’t really mess with trying to get a couple bucks on something. Just odds of someone needing something that specific is tough, though the list price on amazon is crazy high.

Aw man! Just realized there’s a Mehrathon!
My IRK was waiting for me when I got home from work this evening:
Bigger than the average IRK and, what’s this? Fragile stickers? Did I win a major award? Is it Italian? Will it be full of pasta?
Hmmm…extra air, that’s always nice. Another tan bag to add to the collection and some lumps and bumps.
-Three pack of women’s briefs. Depending on how they translate the size those might get used!
-A small gold colored purse that will be added to the donate pile as I that’s not something I use. But I’m sure someone will like it.
-A cute little owl puzzle eraser. That will either go to a young friend or into the pile to get donated to a teacher for their “prize box”.
Hmmm…seems there’s a box full of something and something, maybe the Italian part, well wrapped in packaged air.
And it turns out to be six AC USB chargers and a glass food storage container. It might be not be Italian, but it was well enough wrapped that it arrived without issue (thanks Meh!) and will definitely get used. A few of the AC chargers will be distributed around to places they will be useful with the rest being held in reserve as back-ups, to stuff in a desk drawer or to give away when people are short a charger. It’s hard to have too many “wall warts” and charging cables.
Kota, who normally claims the very fine IRK boxes has claimed the very fine IRK bag this time. I didn’t get a picture but Nix, my other feline family member did inspect the box and pronounced it as “very fine”.
Seems like a mighty fine IRK to me. A bit of regret (no pasta, no putty). Some useful things. Another tan bag. A mighty fine box. The cats are satisfied. It arrived the day after my birthday (on Meh’s birthday!). I’m quite happy!

@Kidsandliz it’s a desk adjustable base. It allows you to stand up and raise your entire setup so you don’t have to sit at all times. My wife loves hers as she works from home. This one might need minor repairs, but they’re great.

Got a good IRK this time around (I mean, they are all good in their own way).
The flashlights in particular made me real happy, they each come with two sets of batteries and will be really handy for some of the DIY stuff I embark on.

And I think that I have similar containers. If it’s the same idea, you can pop open the port/vent on top so when you microwave something, you can leave the top on while letting steam vent out.

I am pleasantly surprised. Actually got a few things I needed–nice Cuisinart kitchen knives (my current ones are totally dull), a beige meh bag for grocery shopping, 20 replacement pads for a TENS kit I don’t own (but which I can sell, maybe, hopefully), Apple-brand wired headphones (gift for my sister, since I am team Android), a smart watch which I will most certainly use (it takes bp readings!!), and a black, lacy camisole for when I feel like entertaining the menfolk (very funny, warehouse dudes). OMG OMG OMG!!! Best IRK ever!!! The box was so big my kid couldn’t even bring it in. Opened it to reveal a nice Cuisinart food processor (always wanted one). A set of Cal King bamboo sheets (I have been complaining for years at the lack of Cal King stuff). A power brick. A set of Diamond lights for decoration. @smigit2002 I’m going to get a trenchcoat and line it with cases. Go to Starbucks and find people with 13” MacBooks and just go “psst” until they look, then flash em the goods like a watch dealer in times square. Should be able to turn them into quick cash that way, I think.
Nothing special. Case of Mac book covers, single 15" cover, wrist bands for some activity tracker, charcoal powder, and bag. What to do with these covers. Wish there was something better than just trashing them… thoughts?

We have a place called the scrap box and another one called arts and scraps, they take recycled items (cardboard tube, sticky styrofoam, plastic baggies, and new items ) all kinds of stuff. They get it donated from cooperations, factories, and and people like us. They use the stuff for to do arts and crafts and even travel to classrooms. I know Portland has one, but check our your area to see if they have anything like it. Stuff you bring in is a tax right off, not that it’s helps much anymore.

Don’t think we have anything like that around here, this is the first time i’ve ever heard about it. Sure does sound like a really cool thing though! I started crafting super young in life, remember taking arts & crafts, cooking, sewing and of course ballet before I was 9 years old at the YMCA. The first outfit I made was koolots & a matching angel winged top back in 1st grade. It was a groovy kind of purple print, 1970’s approved! Lol…
I received my box during yesterday’s tracker-mask-athon, but didn’t dig through the posts to find this thread, so I’m glad its come back to the top. This is the 3rd time I’ve received a previous kit on the same day I bought another one.
Overall, this one is a win, with no specific regrets.
The jacket says dry clean only, which I’ll be honest, is never going to happen, So we will see what its like after a run through the laundry on delicate. Its a very thin drapey material, so I will have to be conscious of what I wear under it, as sleeve lines, etc will show through, but I think worn right it will look very professional.
I think I will use everything in this kit. Well worth my $5

I feel like I got the best box I’ve ever gotten.
Quite honestly the best mystery box I ever got, and the least filled with women’s clothing which is always appreciated. I was wondering if I was going to break a leg or something for getting something resembling luck, but it’s okay… my lawn mower broke so it made up for it. ^_^
@Artimid I got the FitPro smart watch too. I downloaded the FitPro app, but I haven’t been successful getting it to pair w/phone. Not sure it’s even the right app. Please reply with the app you used, if you got it to pair succesfully to your phone.
@GrandmaLyn So I got it to pair with the FitPro app on my Android phone. I just used it without an account and was able to start working with it pretty quick.
I didn’t pair usually Bluetooth originally, I used the “Search” function inside the app.
Got a little worried when the FedEx driver opened the back and got out a dolly.

I have a big and long box that weighs 27 pounds that I am opening on Twitch tonight. Come and watch if you want, but if it’s any good I will post it here afterwards. The good news is this doesn’t sound like pasta, unlike the last IRK I got. Seeing the OP’s pallet, though, I guess it could have been much worse.

The most valuable item in the bag - some sort of special-secret code hand-written in green on a yellow-green sticky note. I’ve spent most of this morning attempting to decipher its meaning. “R04” in a circle, with an additional number “153218”. Extensive research(*) shows that the large number could be referring to a Manhattan DisplayPort to HDMI cable (I have enough of those), or perhaps refers to a human gene identified in adrenal, stomach, and testis DNA samples (SPINK13, serine peptidase inhibitor Kazal type 13 (human)), in which case I’m wondering if this refers to Paula Deen? Who knows… The “R04” code is an ICD-10-CM code for a pretty serious condition - “Hemorrhage from respiratory passages”. Nosebleeds aren’t exactly rare, but how does this connect to the IRK proceeds? I’m wondering if this is the warning not to shove the toothbrushes up my nose? Who “nose”!!
