Question..what did the evil father vacuum cleaner salesman say to his son..." Dyson". What did the son say back to his evil father..." Your cyclone vacuum blows me away"
@dmlivezey Was it the same price last time or are they dropping the price a bit each time? Did you get the Frankenstein? Is it worth the extra? Thanks.
Good vacuum. Does a good job. I don't know where they found these at this price point, but if you're in the market for a new vacuum, you can't go wrong here.
There are a lot of little touches that make it feel well-designed. Like the crevice tool that is also a brush, or the wand extension that fits inside the hose, saving space.
I've had one of these for a little over a year, it was a refurb too. I was using it last weekend and noticed it was a little hard to push. A few minutes later one side of the ball just broke the fuck off. There's some sort of metal bushing it attaches to and it just sheared off, looks like some kind of cheap ass pot metal. Oh well, I'll just keep using my twelve year old yellow dyson, it's better anyway.
@SteveOOO 'been keeping an eye on these Dyson Ball refurbs in case our DC-07 quits beyond DIY repair. But yikes, after watching the ball yoke ($40 part) replacement procedure and looking at the parts diagram... Rube Goldberg.
The best thing about fuchsia is you can grab a piece of chalk in a classroom and slowly write "FUC" really big while people are watching and then continue to write the rest of the word and they'll all think you were about to write "fuck".
@CaffeineGuy You can buy the Frankenstein kit separately. It's called the Total Gear Kit. Available from many online sites for about $100. Oh and it comes with the regular turbine tool too.
Mine wasn't fuchsia! I ended up with a purple one like the one I bought a few weeks ago; How am I going to identify my vacuums? @sohmageek how the hell did you manage to change my vacuum color in transit?
All I got was a 4" square box with the attachment head. No vacuum to be had. The package says "delivered" online. I put in a ticket. Is this a practical joke?
Where is the serial # on this thing? I looked in all 3 places that Dyson says it will be and there is none. I need support for the machine but need a serial # because I just got it yesterday and while I was using it today the hose stopped working. Plus I need a serial # to register it.

@AttyVette
There's a sucker born every minute.
@AttyVette
Got the cursor hoovering over the "buy it" button
@AttyVette
Gonna roll the dice-on this one.
Bought the Frankenstein model and just can't part with it. Turns out I have attachment issues
I started up for this? This sucks...
@jmckinl it's sure does hopefully that what vacuums do :)
Well it's kinda purpley ...
@narfcake More like mehgenta
@heartny I thought it was fuchsia
@Zypher According to today's story, "Fuchsia and magenta are, in most color systems, the same color." Or in this case, mehgenta.
I predict many puns in your fuscia
@lichme Next time it shows up, maybe there will be a link to the past, so we can go back to the fuchsia.
@lichme this deal will floor you
@lichme
This machine will not leave you holding the bag.
Bought a more expensive machine once. If I get this one, I can kick the other to the kirby.
@lichme Y'all go fuchsia self!
Here's your purple, people.
@KDemo eater?
@AttyVette Yeah, I almost said that, but decided against it.
I'm just waiting for the inevitable Bluetooth Vacuum
@Dash with speaker docks
@AttyVette I would buy one.
@AttyVette I love speaker docks!
Another clean sweep..
@thismyusername Fuchs is German for fox.
That's about all I remember from my high school German.
Hey you, read this before you cry about being ripped off.

@Ignorant I wish I could star that more than once.
Question..what did the evil father vacuum cleaner salesman say to his son..." Dyson". What did the son say back to his evil father..." Your cyclone vacuum blows me away"
i bought it last time, it sucks (very well)
@dmlivezey Was it the same price last time or are they dropping the price a bit each time? Did you get the Frankenstein? Is it worth the extra? Thanks.
@ambimb I paid $260 for the Frankenstein and I think it is worth it, especially attachment to go under couches, etc.
I want p-u-r-p-l-e. Purple
@Barney You're going to split hairs over the color here?
@dashcloud P-u-r-p-l-e.
So why is this re FURbished ?? Isn't the point of this vacuum to get rid of random fur or animal hair so why refur anything??
@AttyVette You could do this:
@sp3ar

@SteveOOO Holy crap! Now I'm glad my old yellow dyson ball is still kicking!
@Thumperchick Dyson ball??? That's downright modern. We're still using a yellow Dyson DC-07 All Floors. It continues to suck.
Hah! Had to search to find @shawn's work around for posting links with an underscore in them. It worked.
@SteveOOO You broke your ball ? Ouch !
@RedOak That's my baby right there. Never lets me down.
@SteveOOO This is what happened. It appears to be pretty common.
@SteveOOO 'been keeping an eye on these Dyson Ball refurbs in case our DC-07 quits beyond DIY repair. But yikes, after watching the ball yoke ($40 part) replacement procedure and looking at the parts diagram... Rube Goldberg.

@Al_Coholic OMG BECAUSE FUCHSIA STARTS WITH FUC!!!!!1111111ONEONEONE
@Pufferfishy Yes. Very good.
Meh, please sell a cordless Dyson v6 real cheap and I'll be in for one.
Well that sucks.
As a graphic designer, I appreciated today's write-up. Nice one, guys. :D
Do we really, seriously, have nobody who wonders where the link to the poll discussion thread is?
@PocketBrain no
@PocketBrain take a peek at the survey results. No.
@PocketBrain I did but I didn't care enough to mention it.
Meh should sell the Frankenstein kit separately for those of us who only bought the base model last time or have a different model from before..
@CaffeineGuy Yes, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@CaffeineGuy Actually, the "tangle free turbine" is available for $38 w/ Prime shipping, so I've concluded that the packages are only a mediocre deal.
@CaffeineGuy You can buy the Frankenstein kit separately. It's called the Total Gear Kit. Available from many online sites for about $100. Oh and it comes with the regular turbine tool too.
Are all those attachments really usable. Or do they sit in a closet ?
Mine wasn't fuchsia! I ended up with a purple one like the one I bought a few weeks ago; How am I going to identify my vacuums? @sohmageek how the hell did you manage to change my vacuum color in transit?
@CaffeineGuy I'm sorry it arrived a different color. I just gained all blame today. But unlike some people I won't attempt to redirect your blame to a prior goat (@mfladd) I'd like to say this office has moved above that. Anyway. You could contact support see if they can resolve it. Worst case scenario you could order a pack of these. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001ANVDMU/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?qid=1441272077&sr=8-10&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=Purple+paint+pen I picked the medium as this office wouldn't want you to waste your time with the fine tip.
All I got was a 4" square box with the attachment head. No vacuum to be had. The package says "delivered" online. I put in a ticket. Is this a practical joke?
@ransomvik The accessories ship separately from the vacuum. Don't worry - the rest of your order will get to you.
I got the 4" square box only also.
@nation45 The vacuum ships separately from the accessories. Your vacuum will arrive in a separate shipment.
When does the vacuum arrive?
@hcbaldy Should show up tomorrow, according to the shipping estimate at the top of the thread.
