@justinjones41 you see, regulars have seen so many battery packs at meh that we don't care to see any more*... I am sure these are fine (although they are not purple and a bit low on the mah side) but the majority of us regulars needs these about like we need another set of steak knives.
*when these are being sold for $5 I am sure I will buy them.
I bet I'm the only meh customer who actually lives in Saskatchewan. I got a chuckle out of the Captain Saskatchewan stuff. (And I've been to both Saskatoon and Moose Jaw! But not Carrot River yet.) (And to those that wonder, meh ships my stuff to a PO box in Raymond, Montana and I go get it there.)
@PhotoJim In 1983 my hometown hockey team, the St. Louis Blues, very nearly moved to Saskatoon. They didn't, but the kids at my school learned yet another way to make fun of my last name.
@JasonToon I remember that. "Very nearly" describes it very accurately. And perhaps a trip to Toontown (as we call it affectionately) needs to be in your future.
@awk uncanny...my first thought the was Groundhog Day as well. Next thing you know, meh will have a big announcement that they are selling out to a long South American river corporation. ..then we'll know the nightmare is real.
It was the dawn of the third year of meh, the year the headphones and power banks came upon us all. This is the story of the end of the knives and speaker docks.
What about all the other ones I bought from you pecker woods? Think I'll pass.. You can't tempt me this time, not even if your brother does need that triple by-pass..
Picked these up the last time around and love them. I'm not wanting for battery packs. Between tradeshow expos and random crap I've picked up over the years, I've probably got 10-15 battery packs ranging from 900-13000mAh.
Things that happen at any given time:
1) I don't recall which batteries I've discharged/recharged recently, so often grab 2-3 if I think I'll need one cause I don't know the charged state of them without checking them all. The wife grabs one with zero idea of what state it may be in.
2) I usually have multiple cables with me, but sometimes I assume I have one in one of my bags, and I'm wrong. Or I wish I'd grabbed my short cable instead of the 3-5' cables because it's easier to slip into my pocket with one of the smaller portable batteries. Wife's in the same boat, but probably a higher error rate.
I picked these things up, dropped $15 at Amazon for a dual powermat charger. Now it sits unobtrusively on a counter, with a couple of batteries wirelessly charging on it. They're always good to go, and with the smaller guy, you don't need to remember a cord at all.
Anyways. I'm happy with these things. If anyone's on the fence, give 'em a shot.
@acer i agree - i got them last time around and Ive always had the same problem with my other power banks --- 'whens the last time I recharged this... do I have to take the one that needs a cable.... wheres my cables that im willing to loose'
its really nice to have that little square guy with built in cables for nights when I stop at home and dont have time to charge my phone but know it will not last all night and the big dude will be good for trips. I got a powermat from amazon for like $5-$10 or something which makes these worth it IMHO because you will know they are always charged
@sammydog01 do you mean as far as the little power banks integrated cables? ive only had an issue one time getting it to recognize but I was 3 sheets to the wind so im chalking that up to user error
@arj8138 I mean the black, white, and purple ones I have gotten here before. Maybe this one will be different. I'll try it sober the first time. Thanks.
I got this charger set here the last time around, because I had two powermats still in deep storage (they were compatible with my previous phone). So now I'm pretty happy to have a charger that doesn't need to be plugged in again after use, even though the $18 price is the worst I've paid for this amount of battery charge capacity. Grab 'n' go in the morning, then drop it on the mat and fahgeddabout it each night. Not for everyone, but right for my situation.
I haven't (yet) sprung for a powermat, but the Day Trip has become my EDC power bank. Its light weight, fits-in-a-pocket form factor, and built-in microUSB and Lightning cables make it a winner despite its rather small charging capacity. It’s not for situations where you know you will need a power bank. It's for the much more common situations where you didn't anticipate needing one but find yourself running low. Hence EDC.
Considering this deal as I need a mini-USB to lightning adapter anyway, which a decent quality one would run $8-10 alone. And in case anyone else is interested, looks like you can pick up a cheap ($12.61) powermat (fulfilled by amazon, Prime shipping eligible) along with some spare parts if you buy the old iphone 4/s starter kit (TC edit - referral link removed, though not necessarily affiliate link.)
Was pretty disappointed with this purchase a month or two ago. The day trip charger could not charge my new droid turbo fast enough to keep it from going dead (while I was using it). I tried charging with the long haul overnight, only to awake the next morning with the long haul dead and my phone at 70%
Also, there is no power mat included, despite it being sold under the name "power mat". It even looks as if there is one in there based on the size and shape of the packaging. What a load of shit
I bought this the last time. Really liked it. Gave the small one to my wife. She never has a cable. Works perfectly for her until she can plug in. High quality feel to them . BTW - not all USB ports and chargers are created equal. Some are .5/1.0/2.1/ 2.4 etc. The slower the water though the hose the longer the pool takes to fill, right?
I thought this was a good deal, and I like that the small one has attached cables. However, so far in my experience with them, they don't hold nearly as much charge as they claim. Just FYI.

@Stallion
@Stallion so true. Meh, howzabout some Anker chargers at 2/18, like model 79AN7904 ( my current favorite ) ?
I am so sorry everyone.
@thismyusername ??
@justinjones41 Monthly scapegoat. @thismyusername knew that blame was coming, hence the apology in advance ... which is very kind, so thank you.

@thismyusername Nice going! I can't believe I lost sleep for that.

These look great!

@Fej They need more Meh.... meh.
Yet another painfully long page load...
@jml326 they are messing with our fuku senses.
Meh! No sale on the Duracell.

@PhotoJim my buddy Cole lives in Saskatchewan. Funny.

You can BANK on this deal....
Too soon.
@RedOak
This reminds me of that movie with Bill Murray where he checks meh.com at midnight every day and it's the same deals over and over.
@awk uncanny...my first thought the was Groundhog Day as well. Next thing you know, meh will have a big announcement that they are selling out to a long South American river corporation. ..then we'll know the nightmare is real.
@awk Groundhog Meh?
@Thumperchick mehhog day?
@Thumperchick dehmog hay?
If they keep relisting these till they sell them all...2016 is going to be a long, joyless year.
It was the dawn of the third year of meh, the year the headphones and power banks came upon us all. This is the story of the end of the knives and speaker docks.
The year is 2016. The place is meh.com.
@escapecar Meh, The Gathering :)
In social science and politics, power is the ability to influence or control the behavior of people.
So.....does this have that kind of power? Does it have the power to control meh?
I think I'll go buy some cheapass headphones.
Powermat?! That's not just Meh, that's Blech! Duracell should be paying us to take that junk.
Actually Amazon has it for $50. Still good deal here.
@Ron_W link?

@Ron_W Nice. That's the 3rd one linked in the specs post, I think. Good to highlight it again, though.
Appropriate deal with an appropriate transaction id:
important-vile-chicken
Out of the 80 reviews on one and 79 on the other only 7 on each were verified customers. The rest of the people got it for free to review it.
@Kidsandliz I'm really beginning to hate that trend.
@Kidsandliz Or bought it somewhere else.
@radi0j0hn No, not bought elsewhere. All of them state they were given it for free to review it.

@acer @arj8138 You guys sold me on this- I ordered a powermat too. I hope my iphone likes it- it is very picky.

Was at first hopeful this would be a powermat. Almost bought. Didn't for lack of powermat.
The last one (purple) i got here doesn't work with the the ipad air2, will this one? (Or my ipad might be a purple bigot)
miniscule-vorpal-amusement
I don't even know what that means.
I wish I had this today- the weather guys are predicting power outages and I have two teenagers.

The small unit does not have a usb out, just plugs for iPhone and typical smartphone. This limits it's use for what I have.
@radi0j0hn New android phones will start utilizing USB type c and will make the little one useless for those users.

Twenty bucks on Woot today if you missed it.
@sammydog01 And the link, because there's no product search. Still.

@sammydog01 yes sir! I saw it and that's why I'm here, But I really don't remember what was the Mhe price, Someone of you know?
@armambos I bought one- it was $18.
