Drone Livestreaming... will it be a thing?
0DJI released live streaming a few weeks ago with the Phantom 3 rollout. It looked amazing when they did it (of course). They turned on the function in their most recent app update for the Inspire 1 and I gave it a shot.
obviously this is no longer a live stream, but this is effectively the full contents of what was streamed.
Quality was not very good - was actually surprised at the poor trade off versus what I can load post-flight. I have 40gb/s upstream wifi from the starting position of this flight so I'm not yet sure why it sucked.
Other than that, it also seems fairly boring unless there's some objective to share or game to play as a focal point?

I imagine this is for breaking news, and also for covering events where camera and card could be confiscated.

@crapstick Yeah. I read that as mb/s and scoffed...then felt embarrassed when I realized it was gigabytes. (hangs head in shame)
@medz i think it is mb/s... I mean he might have some insane bandwidth at his place, but i don't know of a wifi standard that's that fast.
