By the way, I heard on the news that some nurses on the night shift have to work an extra hour Sat/Sun when the clocks get set back. Is that true for you?

Nope. I get off before 0200 so it doesn’t affect me. The girl that works overnight will be here for the extra hour but will get paid for it (it’s actually OT).
I managed to swap my schedule to be off this Sunday so I am headed to the beach at Alligator Point for a week with 3 other guys whose wives have been down there this week with mine. I will work NEXT Sunday 1500 to 2300 instead, then start my normal rotation Monday. I’ll drive back Sunday morning in time to go to work.

I did see what you posted in capnbj’s thread about that arrangement for the house for 4 weeks - very ingenious.
@Kyeh over the years we have done tha ta few times in various spots with houses or condos on the beach. It has always worked out well, and the weather this time of year is generally really nice.

This was going to be my husband’s & my wedding song, but we ended up getting married when he was in the hospital for the last time, so it brings back a lot of memories.
Btw, the nurses made it really special, brought in a cart with a little cake & refreshments & everything on very short notice. You guys are heroes in more than the obvious ways!
