FINALLY!!! I’ve been trying to get this song in the game for AGES. Probably more than 50 threads ago I noticed it was listed by Rolling Stones as the #1 greatest song of all time, and somehow we hadn’t found a spot to fit it in. Hell, before this, we’d only played one of the top 5 songs, and it’s number 4. Anyway, here’s the list of the 500 greatest songs of all time (skipped to the top 50) so you can get some song ideas and try to find where we’re missing a few.

Also, if you don’t get the connection, just look up “Rodney Dangerfield catchphrase” and you’ll know how this song links very cleanly to him.

@ExtraMedium Yep, that’s what happened! My phone is so slow these days that i don’t have time to check the cheat sheet AND get the link to the video in the same turn. Maybe i should just make the play & hope for the best? … But i submit that this song needs to be played (it’s on that Rolling Stone list, too), so if the preacher connection is acceptable, I’m not too proud to use that! Lol… Plus, Aretha did a well-known cover of the song, so bonus…?

Once you post the song, I think it’s only fair to leave it up. This has happened to me as well. During the time that the edit window is still live I looked up and posted a song only to find out that the song I had linked to had been changed!
I think it’s fine to make corrections to the artist title or name for misspellings etc, or add a comment at the end if you need to post why the link works, but actually deleting and changing the song puts anybody who is trying to work off it at risk!
Just my two cents worth…

@mml666 I know what you mean, it takes forever with my slow-ass phone! The game play seemed slow, so i thought i could sneak a swap in…oops! Lol

@chienfou @ircon96 @mml666 Well, I’ve sometimes posted one and then felt uneasy and thought I should check the cheat sheet again, and found it that second time - in a case like that, I think it should be okay to change it. Because searching in the cheat sheet can be weird - I’ve had it skip songs with the exact word I’m searching and I don’t know why!

@Kyeh Yeah, it is a little fickle. Sometimes, something as innocuous as a space after the word can mess it up, or just for no apparent reason!

@mml666 Yes, it definitely has to be exact! I try to use the simplest phrase for that reason (like “with the Devil”) & sometimes i expand the comments, only to have it collapse back on me & sends me to the middle of the freakin’ list! Lol… Because of that, I figured out that if i search for the word “avoiding,” it takes me back to the top immediately so i can expand it again. Very frustrating!

That’s exactly how I managed to create dupes on a couple of the ones that I’ve done, (some of which were not caught), and even more frustratingly were originally posted by me as well!
The expanding part is not a problem, because I never allow mine to collapse. My permanent setting is fire hose!
