@thismyusername I started watching Poo-Pourri’s commercials after I found this video and was so surprised by the similarities. I am sure eventually a lawsuit will be filed.
People or corporations can technically sue on almost anything. And companies have won lawsuits, or nogotiated favorable agreements with their competitors, based legal action over design and marketing similarities.
Much depends on the wallet size and legal strategy of the “aggrieved party”.
I’ve not used that but I have used Poo-Pourri (handy to have in a house you share with seven other people) and it somehow does actually work. I mean, you probably could just keep a can of Febreeze nearby in case of emergency, but the spray stuff does seem to work, even on some of the more taxing jobs. Throw it in your guest bathroom, if you’ve got one.
I got some Poo-Pourri for Christmas from my sister last year. Although it was a gag gift, it does indeed work. When I recently saw the VIPoo commercial for the first time I thought Poo-Pourri must have been rebranded. The marketing is very similar.

I often eat vegan at home. Not pure vegan most of the time, but have personally confirmed this. The effect is not immediate. It may depend partially on what kind of gut bacteria you have.
@f00l I was curious when @ELUNO asked. I went searching on the web. It says that vegans usually fart a ton, but it’s not normally bad… But apparently there’s a few exceptions of vegans that can clear rooms. What I read, most of them blamed soy products.
@f00l Breastfed babies’ diapers don’t clear the room; it sort of smells like plants. When you add solids and especially meat to their diet, however, you learn all about flatulence and intestinal biota.
@ELUNO there’s a certain gene that you have to have to get the stinky asparagus pee. I have it. It’s fucking terrible. The more you eat, the worse it is. I had bought an entire bunch of this thin baby asparagus. Roasted it in the oven with spices and parmesan on top. It was so good that it turned out to be my entire dinner. An hour or two later, I wanted to die when I had to pee. I had forgotten about the side effects since it had been a long time since I had eaten any asparagus, so for a moment I was terrified because of the smell until I remembered. It took several trips to the bathroom to stop stinking up the entire room.
@ELUNO Asparagus doesn’t cause farts. Onions broccoli beans all cause farts. Dairy can cause farts in some people. Farts are basically you don’t successful break down food entirely and then the microbs in your body break down the food and in the process release gasses they build up in pockets and come out at the most alkward moments.

Not an expert on being vegetarian or vegan mostly because I’m totally casual and non-perfectionist/rigorous about it. At restaurants I often order whatever I would have ordered when I wasn’t avoiding animal-sourced foods at all. As a guest I tend eat whatever is served without being too picky.
However I have read of this being more or less true on the web, tho it does depend on the diet I think. I also had an acquaintance who is a long term vegan, and who avoids soy, tell me this was true. She was into probiotics - that prob made a diff.
I don’t purposefully eat soy at home, but soy is in so much stuff it’s hard to know. I don’t read the label every single time because that turns eating into too much of a PITA.
As for vegetarians and vegans farting a lot - not my experience. Prob varies by person. I expect composition of diet and of gut flora makes a huge diff. And there are genetic differences.
I think the whole medical and health-related study of gut flora is about to explode (pardon the pun). Starting to look like that is a critical key to health and the possible amelioration of a large number of disorders.
