Always. And I hope I get another one of the awesome red ones in my Fukumawhatsit, because those are really nice. I use the heck out of the one I got last time. :)
Yes, I have about a dozen and I still need more. I have a back injury so I need to pack my bags light. It's just easier to have and use my own shopping bags that I can use as many as I darn well please of to pack my purchases in, than use all of the stores plastic bags and feel like a jerk who hates the enviorment, and cost effectiveness.
@hallmike Cat poop, my lunch everyday, garbage bags, etc. And no, the cat poop is not my lunch, nor do reuse the bags after I put catpoop in them. Sickos.
@darksaber99999 We double bag for cat poop! (We've rescued a few over the years and while the population is slowly dwindling, they still put out a lot o' poop.)
I buy disposables by the case at the restaurant supply store, and also save the ones I get from other stores. They make great dog poop bags and my dog poops a lot.
Yes! I have a cooler bag that works really great for the big grocery trips that start half an out of town at a local butcher/smokehouse. That bag came with 3 other bags, in different sizes, that store easily in an exterior pocket. I love it. We also keep misc. reusable bags in both vehicles, and on hooks near the back door.
We aren't 100% yet, but we're a lot closer than we used to be. We also don't take bags for things we can just carry, anymore.
Nearly every time. If I remember to empty/bring them. Mom makes cool shopping bags from old jeans; I keep receipts and coupons in the pockets. They are so much better for getting canned goods and heavy stuff; the plastic bags just cut into my fingers when I carry heavy things in them.
I would buy re-usable meh promotional bags that do not contain surprises, but imagine that itchy trigger fingers would lead to server crashes if they were the deal of the day and looked like the Fuku... bag. Perhaps a VMP-only bag event is not out of the question.

@KDemo I would go for that, too. Usually I avoid wearing or carrying anything that promotes a product or website but there is something almost magical about the name. meh. meh. meh. It's mehsmerizing.
Well if you are planning to sell them please get ones that are big enough, fold into a pocket, have a clip… I wish they made the flip and tumble ones bigger (although they do not have a clip), I also like workhorse original (these fit over the walmart bag holders and makes it easier), baggu, chico bags, and reisenthel mini maxi… of course I use plastic bags when I am running low on bags for cat poop...
Grocery stores in Korea charge you for a plastic bag which you can use it as a trash bag. Basically you are buying extra trash bags if you don't have reusable shopping bags. By the way, you should only use those "approved" trash bags in the community you live in. Too many rules!
@katylava Resistance is futile. You are being assimilated. Your future produce purchase will be corrupted by the tiny leak of raw chicken juice you missed in your earth-friendly responsible reusable bag.
Disposable ones cost .10 a pop here, which encourages me to bring mine. Before the no-free-disposables laws I used to bring mine when I remembered; now both cars always have a pile in the trunk.
We're just starting to use the reusable bags, but I'm on the fence as to the real benefit. We reuse the plastic ones as garbage bags (for smaller cans, for the car, and when there's stinky trash we don't want to leave in the kitchen), and as laundry bags when we travel (dirty undies go in there). I'm just going to end up buying plastic bags for these purposes, so I don't know if it's a net gain for the environment.
@DaveInSoCal There is another method here, don't use a trash can liner. It does take more human effort, and you may have to clean your bins more often, though. That would be the net gain. Also, it's going to be years before most people run out of plastic bags to reuse.
@Thumperchick Not only no but hell no. I've tried not using a trash bag and just putting the trash in the can but when the garbage man threw my trash all over the road and the wind blew it all down the street and into other people's yard, I will always put them in bags from now on. The few pennies I pay for a trash bag saves me a lot of cleanup time.
@cengland0 I understand that. But it sounds like that would be a phone call to your trash removal service to let them know their garbage man threw trash all over the neighborhood. While it was solid of you to pick it up, that was his job to do, and his place to rectify it.
I would use a red one, with some korean writing, and maybe some website address on it... if only I was up 24 hours ago
I love purple.

@Tiamat114 You'd make out like a bandit where I shop as they credt you a nickel for every re-usable shopping bag you use at checkout.
I re-use non-re-usable shopping bags - not at the store, but for other things.
@darksaber99999 cat poop?

@darksaber99999 Same here. I don't reuse them for groceries. Instead, I use them for trashcan liners and stuff like that.
I use 'em. And then I use 'em again. And then I use 'em a third time. And then I wash 'em. And then I use 'em...
It is a viscous circle.
(one that is sticky and hard to stir)

I like plastic bags.. There's nothing like a good breath of fresh air when you put one of those puppies over you head.
Disposable bags have been banned in some communities down here in SoCal for a while now, so yeah, I use them.
I'll use reusable bags at places that pay me a nickel for each one that I use, otherwise it is the disposable ones from the store.

I use them everytime - keep a few in each vehicle. They hold things better and are easier to haul into the house.
I mainly bring them with me to Jockey Lots and Flea Markets

@Alien Agreed. Fuku bags by the dozen would be a cool purchase option. Maybe a different color to differentiate them from the real fukus.
@Alien - Great idea. Maybe we could get the meh. logo on some thermal bags, as well.
@duodec: Fuchsia, turquoise, lime, aubergine... my mind is reeling!
I love purple.

No
We send those plastic grocery bags to the landfill... filled with garbage.
Rather than buy commercial plastic bags for our home's trash bins.
And they do work well as dog-poop collectors.

I just recycle the disposable bags.
I just used re-usable bags for the first time today because of this poll.
@katylava If you went food shopping, what did you get?
@dashcloud soup!
@katylava Good choice!
@katylava Resistance is futile. You are being assimilated. Your future produce purchase will be corrupted by the tiny leak of raw chicken juice you missed in your earth-friendly responsible reusable bag.
@duodec my husband buys all the meat.
@katylava That...that's what she said?
@katylava omg so did I.
yes, but only once. then i throw them away.
(j/k... don't go all environmentally on me)
