@zhicks1987 I got some variation of this a couple of times, but not until some years after I’d graduated. It was weird. I always woke up confused about when the practical courses started setting theory exams.
@zhicks1987 This! Again and again. I’m about to graduate and I completely forgot about this class and now it’s the day of the final and I can’t even find the room.
Waking from this is such a relief.
@zhicks1987 after I graduated high school I had nightmares that I didn’t have my class schedule on the first day of school, and had no idea where I was supposed to be. Then after I graduated college I had the common ‘half (or the whole) semester is over and I missed all the classes’ or ‘I went to the wrong class all semester’ nightmare.
My husband has had the same ones as well, lol! It’s funny that it’s such a common dream for people.
All the way through college I would have a back-to-school nightmare. It wasn’t always the same, but was always school-related. I called them worry-mares because it was just what I now know was anxiety. I would be lost, embarrassed, or partially clothed. So glad I don’t have those anymore!
I wouldn’t say they are regular… But every now and then I get hit by one of those deep seated failure points. Those very very vivid points of embarrassment/failure that you are aware of but have nothing to do with your current life.
I went to the oldest public high school in NH, so they had to add a couple of buildings over the years as the population grew, for a total of 3 buildings, plus an off-site building for industrial arts students. It was huge. My school dreams almost always involve trying to get to my next class on time, probably because often one class would be on the 3rd floor of one building & the next would be on the 3rd floor of the building across campus. Needless to say, I got a LOT of exercise, since there were no elevators for routine use. Those are usually the only dreams i remember.
I had a school dream last night. In it, I was a well-adjusted person who had people I never got to know in school talking to me about interests the dream decided they conveniently happened to share.
I am in school… so
Yup, I’m back at school, I go to class naked, there’s a test I didn’t study for, the usual.
Catholic Grammer School, with Nuns…
@somf69
nightmare or fantasy?
Does getting schooled on relationship nightmares count?
KuoH
Never got them when I was in school.
My most reoccurring one is I have a final in a class I haven’t been to all semester.

The frequency dropped significantly when I retired
@AnniKat Same with me.

With startling regularity until I moved and all my anxiety dreams became about packing.

How they unfold in a dream can vary a lot though

I dislike those dreams.
