@stuartpb Same here. And I didn’t realize that NYT had taken them over. Which leads me down the path of thinking I trusted The Wirecutter then more than ‘Wirecutter’ now. For some reason I can’t explain…
@2many2no Same people, different types of products reviewed, but I think making that distinction was really a mistake, particular given how hard it can be to delineate which site a review should be under in the first place.
One of several useful sources I check when I’m thinking about buying something in a category where I don’t have a lot of expertise. But I don’t implicitly trust them more than anyone else, and I prefer niche review sites anyway (AKA, I trust DC Rainmaker’s opinions/findings regarding activity trackers more than anything Wirecutter will ever publish).
I don’t trust any review that isn’t from Fox News. I mean have you seen the ratings?
@wmbarr MAKE MEH.COM GREAT AGAIN !!! CC @snapster @dave @shawn
I have wire snippers in the garage. That’s pretty much the same thing, right?
I feel like i got tricked into visiting their website. Now I’m looking at dog collars I really don’t need.
@DaveInSoCal .
Don’t your and your family want only the very best dog collars?
@f00l my dog prefers to be naked
@DaveInSoCal learning from its owner
What is wire cutter?
I hadn’t even realized they’d rebranded until this poll started being a wiseass about it:
https://thewirecutter.com/wirecutter-but-for-everything/
That said, so long as the domain is still “thewirecutter.com”, it’ll always be The Wirecutter to me.

How is it different from Sweethome?
@2many2no
Different letters spell the differing domain names?

@jqubed Aren’t they merging into the same website soon?
@koeniginator yes already did https://thewirecutter.com/wirecutter-but-for-everything/
@2many2no
As long as Jacqui Cheng is still running the show, I will keep going there. Even if I am sad that they dropped the The.
(Damn, how often do you get to say “the The”?)
/youtube the the perfect day
/youtube the the this is the day
Man, never seen the second video before.
GREAT song, horrible video.
@TheFLP
Jacqui Cheng? Sounds almost like Jackie Chan.

Not only do I read Wirecutter, I interviewed there for two different jobs.
(Got an offer for one, but had to turn it down as it was a pay cut, and the second time I didn’t get an offer. Oh, well.)
Is that some kind of pr0n site? Asking for a friend.
