@Rueki
I kept my Windows XP solitaire in 7, 8.1, and 10. It was just a matter of knowing where the executable was, and copying it forward. I hated the misfeaturing they did to the version that shipped with 7. Ditto for Minesweeper. (My only surviving Tenvirus box is about to get upgraded to 8.1, YAY!)

“Wasting time” is not a luxury I indulge in much. I usually have plenty of productive things to keep me busy. Though perhaps this forum could be considered as one by some (like my wife for instance…)
@SpyreFox I love FreeCell. I was working my way through the original 32000 deals from Windows 95. I haven’t played it in about 10 years. I think I only have a few thousand deals left to win.
@SpyreFox@yakkoTDI
The '95 version of Freecell had one or two that were not winnable. I don’t know about the 7 version. I’m sure the oracle would have something to say about that.
@werehatrack@yakkoTDI I use the shareware (paid for) program GoodSol. Dozens of Solitaire game variations. Over the last 20 years or so I have not run into an unsolvable FreeCell on there. I have played well over 200,000 games on many different computers (and never have figured out how to keep the stats from one to the other.)
It can take several days to win some of the FreeCell games. My own rule is that I can start a game over but I cannot back up step-by step. So if I get stuck I have to restart that game completely. I suppose, strictly speaking, I still cheat. But I enjoy it.
@SpyreFox@werehatrack The Windows 95 version only had one game that is unwinnable. The Windows 7 version added a lot more deals and I think there are 5 or 6 that are unwinnable.
On my phone, I found a version that has every form of solitaire I’d ever seen, plus a bunch that were new. I still haven’t played most of them. Faves include Tabby Cat, Eight Off, and Waning Moon.
I used to play Solitaire. Until Microsoft took it away in Windows 10.
@Rueki you can still play on Windows 10. It’s just a separate app. Which also has apps for phones, so you can play an event on multiple devices.
@remo28 To think this is the reason I haven’t upgraded from Windows 7. Well time for a new computer.

Nope, not my preferred way to waste time.
@chienfou, so how do you prefer to waste time?

Yep.
FreeCell. A lot.
@SpyreFox Free cell used to be a real problem for my step mom. She calls it Dead Brain Cell.

@SpyreFox Free cell all the way!

Klondike on MS Solitaire.
Too. Much.
By solitaire, do you mean playing with cards or playing only with oneself?
Hey Meh, is this your way of asking if we masturbate?

The Win 7 games have been ported to Win 10. A lot of other little apps too, like the calculator.
