I had a once in a lifetime, blessing of a vacation earlier this year in Hawaii where we stayed on Waikiki beach for a couple nights of the week and a half we were out there. The condo had a bidet that also had an automatic lid (it opened as you approached). There were a ton of pressure and temperature options and I’ve never felt so spring time fresh.
I had an inexpensive one for a few weeks. It made the toilet seat wobble but I could live with that. However, it did not spray where it was supposed to, it often sprayed the underside of the seat (causing mold to grow there), and it also often sprayed out between the seat and the rim leaving a nice mist on the side of the vanity. I would like to try another one but I can’t tell if the SideDeal BioBidet one will work for my toilet. Hmm.
@brainmist I did not. That might actually have made some difference. There was not really a low setting. It went from off for the first quarter turn to really on.
I’ll have to keep that in mind for the next try. Thanks!
@kittykat9180 Wet wipes screw up pipes, sewer and septic systems and clump into a giant mass. Unless you don’t flush them and then you’ve got a trashcan of poop wipes in your bathroom. Don’t get me wrong, wipes are awesome, they’re just not very good at getting rid of.
@kittykat9180 Ugh, handful of wet poopy wipes? Pass! And this is essentially a very directed shower, so…
After spending a week in Japan, I was really happy to install my own under-seat bidet. And I’m never going back. In fact, I’ve given bidets to friends and relatives. Slooooowly making converts to the life.
I got a Bio Bidet (not this model) in 2017. I had to get an electrician to put an outlet next to the toilet for it. It has been an awesome upgrade. Up front costs are a little expensive, but I highly recommend if you have the means.
@pooflady The one that I have has a separate setting for the ladies. I’ve never timed the drying cycle. Maybe a minute? Two minutes? If I’ve finished my magazine article, I can turn it off…or it turns off if I stand up. I don’t have the one that’s on sale here, today, but if I were giving advice, I’d suggest buying one with the most features. Each one is useful.
