@werehatrack@blaineg Fair point - any time I tell people that, I remind them that the forces holding together the atoms of the truck bumper are stronger than the forces holding our atoms together.
@werehatrack
With medical I’m very used to it. I’ve been in the hospital so many times and unfortunately have had some some really bad experiences. There’s one nurse in particular that I will not let be my nurse bc she always says she’ll give me my meds but lies and she never does.
@Star2236@werehatrack
I’ve had a nurse that was taking my narcotics and trying to replace them with vitamins! She was caught, legally charged and fired! Another time when I was around 12 years old they locked down the entire hospital to try and find the guy dressed in scrubs that felt me up while I was still asleep! If he hadn’t been looking for me specifically (I’d been there 3 months) and looked in other rooms first I wouldn’t have had other witnesses! Hospitals are a place where some of these psychos think they can blend in and get away with a lot of messed up stuff!
God help the people who can’t advocate for themselves!! FOR REAL!!
@Kyeh
Not as bad as what was going on 40-ish years ago at a hospital in Miami. There were murder charges involved. I know more about it than I want to discuss. While there had been people who were uneasy, it took someone looking very hard at the final billings for a patient who mysteriously died, and taking the paperwork to appropriate authorities, to get the alarm raised.
When I slap the face of the guy in the mirror, I feel it, so I guess so.
Hell no!
I got the believe in yourself shirt off Mediocritee so…yeah, I guess I do.
I think therefore I am, I think.
@mehcuda67 Of course you are my bright little star.
Considering that solid matter is something like 99.9999999999999999999999999% empty space*
it’s a tough call.
*(depending on which number you’re using for the size of a quark)
@mehcuda67 It’s a pretty theory, but that brick wall is still going to disagree with you when you run into it.
^^^^^THIS^^^^^

@blaineg @mehcuda67 @werehatrack If you vibrate REALLY, REALLY FAST, you can get through most of the brick wall.
@blaineg @G1 @werehatrack “Most” is the problem
Sometimessssssssss
On a good day.
Ah, but here’s the thing: How do you prove your evidentiary laws of physics aren’t also in my head?
We’re a brain in a box that is our skull, reliant on input from flawed receptors.
How can we ever be certain we’re not a brain in a box, reliant on flawed programmed inputs?
@brainmist It’s turtles all the way down.
Philosophy is a way of keeping people busy who have too much time on their hands.
I better, it’s I’m the only one advocating for myself.
@Star2236 I know the feeling and it’s one that I hate with every ounce of my being!
@Star2236 Particularly when it comes to the subject of medical care.

@Star2236 @werehatrack Is it a hospital run by a religious organization? Because I had a problem similar to that at a hospital run by one!
