Why are the p3's so cheap now? Heavily discounted. Or has the market finally caught up and DJI can no longer command a premium with so many alternatives now?
@sportykev Notice they're the Standard versions which were always cheaper to begin with because of cheaper cameras and gimbals. The Pro versions are still expensive.
@sportykev Maybe they aren't selling as well as DJI expected (meaning the Standard version). The MSRP on Standard version is $800. My guess would be, anyone spending $800 on a drone would most likely pony up the extra $200 and step up to the Advanced version and all it's extra capabilities.
@DJMajickMan I totally tried to search but the search tool on this forum truly sucks. I have the p1-thrice also. @ruouttaurmind This is a decent price and I'm a huge fan of newegg, while I don't feel like dropping half a G, if p3 drops any lower for BF or cyber Monday. I'm really digging the walkera FPV kit with devo7 and goggles from banggood. Either way, good chance I will pull the trigger with my new 0% apr card, soon. LOL
@DJMajickMan Cool, thank you for this. Reasonably priced too. Very cool. Is the idea to mount only 2 batteries on the exterior? or do you think 3 batteries total? Though, assuming 3 batteries would start hitting diminishing returns due to weight. What gains have you seen? did you simply splice the battery cables together? Sorry again for hijacking. The layout of this forum stinksssss. I should start my own drone.horse using discourse forum :)
@sportykev I think the weight to battery life would cancel out at that point. I don't remember what my times were but they were slightly longer then the single battery. I used a Y cable designed for this.
@sportykev yeah but the $61 one had bad reviews as being a scam account. The nice thing about ordering, at least from the app, is that if it doesn't arrive in a reasonable time they ask you if it arrived and refund you quickly if you tell them it didn't arrive. I actually filed for a refund and a week or two later the item arrived as well as me getting the refund. Granted it was a $2-4 item including shipping.
@sportykev yeah. If it shows up let us know. I'm not ordering now I've spent to much on x-mas gifts this year but expect the deal to come back if it's legit.
@sportykev if you google it you can read the article. Direct links tend to request you subscribe. Wish appears to be an eBay alternative and much like Alibaba with items being sold by vendors not the site itself and some items being knock offs.
one users haul granted girly items but she appears to be happy and willing to shop with them again.
And as I said I've bought things from there and will do so again.
@sportykev I'm sure you're gonna be just fine. In 3 or 4 weeks one of two things will happen. 1. You'll have a beautiful new P3 Pro and my undying envy, or 2. You'll call your credit card company & make a fraud report & they'll credit your account for the full purchase price. Either way, you're golden.

@garyhgaryh, a few bucks more than the Sam's Club deal, but no sales tax balances it out...

@DJMajickMan TRUE! I am so mesmerized by the new battery setup on P3 though. Can you post how you set up your dual 2400mAHs? (slight derail)

@sportykev that's on the p1 and should be linked in another thread as I recall.

@DJMajickMan Does seem a bit too good to be true though, no? If anything, MasterCard should protex me

@DJMajickMan will keep y'all posted.
@sportykev Interesting Wall Street Journal article on Wish.com.
@ruouttaurmind while I don't have a wsj subscription, I'm already feeling uneasy about my order.

@ruouttaurmind @DJMajickMan Wish.com deal didn't happen because, of course, too good to be true.
