I saw it and enjoyed it, but I love that series even if it’s cheesy, full of plot holes, inconsistencies and over the top. I am unable to understand why they felt the need to make the rancor into a dinosaur. Will it win any awards? Doubtful. Did I enjoy watching it? Mostly. Will I watch it again? Absolutely!
I’ve missed most of the sequels; I saw the second movie, and I think I saw the third one (or was it fourth with one skipped?) At this point, I’m not in a hurry to pay money to see another installment, so I’ll probably pass.
@werehatrack Same with me, i saw the first 2, can’t remember whether i saw the third, and haven’t seen one since. I might see the others someday, but probably not – they’re not quite the same without Jeff Goldblum as a main character & my watchlist is way too long!
I want to, but I’m in a facility, sent after surgery on my legs & feet, to have the opportunity to strengthen my walking with less pain. Unfortunately, though I was able to walk when getting here, well, I’m short, the mattress is HIGH up, and this place had no step. Thus i was not allowed out of bed & my family and I were told, repeatedly, that we couldn’t buy a step, & that this place was getting a step SOOOOOOO, SURPRISE no step, more lies, still no step, eventually, months later, a step by that time, NOPE, now, not able to stand. Thus, NOPE, not able to get to any theater, at the moment (MWAHAHAHAHA) 🥹 Someday, though, someday 🥹…
@gnoogie Sorry, but that is Neglect. The Bed should always be at the lowest level for safety. To place you in a bed and tell you and your family you can’t get out is basically Imprisonment. If the goal was to strengthen your legs, they allowed you to atrophy. I am an RN. They need to immediately begin to mitigate these issues. Physical Therapy Is a Requirement. I am really sorry to hear this. As much as I think we are a Litigious Society, sometimes it takes things like that to get people to sit up and take notice. The Surgeon that referred you, the Facility Administration. You have grounds for a lawsuit if the facility went against your Dr.s orders. Yikes. God Bless You. Movies in a Theater are the least of your problems. I won’t attend a Theater since Covid and I still wear a mask while shopping. I hope someone in your family has been Documenting. Please contact an Attorney ASAP.
@gnoogie@Mandamm I agree that is neglect. They took away your mobility. You should look into getting a lawyer or at the very minimum, filing a complaint against them.
@gnoogie
After working In a psychiatric hospital and seeing how they milk patients insurance so they can get the most money from every patient, I totally believe your situation. Again it is neglect and you have the right to choose a different rehab facility. Have your family or you call your insurance and see what rehab facilities are available in your area (that they pay for) and do some research (ie read reviews) before you transfer to a new one. Your dr can write a script for any rehab facility in the area. Just bc your dr likes it doesn’t mean you need too, I bet he’s never stayed there. Your comfort and happiness should be the number one priority. You shouldn’t have to take two steps back just to take one forward. And get your own stool, who cares what they say. Do you want to be in bed forever?
@chienfou@Kyeh The first one is the only one worth watching. Even though it is different from the book it is still pretty good. The CGI animation actually holds up quite well too.
I’m a huge Jurassic Park fan. I probably saw the first on at least 30 times in the theater (dollar theater). My dad always liked the movies and with his declining hearing and vision over the years it something we did a few times (saw the new movies in theater). I have a jailbroken stick and watched a not so great copy of it on that. I need to watch a better copy.

@gnoogie @kittykat9180 @Mandamm Ignore their rules, and bring in your own step. That might motivate them.

There’s a new Jurassic Park movie?
@heartny Surprise!
@heartny @ircon96 Wow. It only took 32 years for a sequel.
I refuse to go back to Jurassic Park because i got mugged there.
@phendrick

I don’t have a television or any streaming service nor do I go to the theater, so I doubt I’ll ever see it.
@kittykat9180 Maybe you could draw a flipbook?
@blaineg
I lack artistic skills but I bet I could get ChatGPT to make the images for me.
@kittykat9180 Jurassic World by Michael Chrichton is available in paperback.
@accelerator @kittykat9180
Really? I only see Jurassic Park and The Lost World as books by Mr. Chrichton.
@kittykat9180 @yakkoTDI you’re right; my bad. I see “The Lost World” but not Jurassic World.
I haven’t seen the first one yet…
@chienfou Same

@chienfou @Kyeh @yakkoTDI movie night in DaltonWood!!! We have an inflatable screen so we can watch it from the pool!
