And yes, I realize this is (technically) for when we spring forward to daylight saving time, I just liked the Halloween theme with the play on the time changing.
@Pantheist My car clock is set to Daylight Saving time, and I just leave it. I rationalize it by saying that DST is active for more of the year than Standard, so it makes sense to just leave it.
I don't like it either, but this "If the people of Seattle picked one time and stuck to it, the sun would rise at either 4 AM in the summer, or 9 AM in the winter." from @JasonToon's writeup yesterday has me reconsidering.
All my important time pieces automatically set themselves. The less important ones, e.g. the oven clock, are done in the morning when I get around to it.
Set my alarm clock last night, and the only other clocks I have that don't set themselves are my car and my oven. My oven's knob is missing, so I'm just going to wait that one out for a few months. My car battery has been dead for a couple of weeks, so procrastinating paid off there since I'd have to set the clock no matter what.
We actually support customers that have a few fairly old computers that no patch was ever released for to handle the change to DST dates last decade (or who no longer had support contracts so legally couldn't install said patches if they were provided). They would automatically change time on the wrong dates if allowed, so we have to do those manually (well, submit the changes to run at 2AM manually, thankfully).
It's still Caturday here in SoCal. And the a/c is still on too.
@narfcake we caved and turned on the furnace today. It was in the low 50's in the house - that's too cold for inside, during the day.

I just leave my car clock (the only one I own that doesn't set itself) on this one so now I just remember that the time isn't an hour off anymore.

@togle My car has an easy option to turn DST on or off!
@jqubed fancy
Instead of adjusting my clocks, I save daylight in old mason jars I keep in the cellar.
I live in AZ, so we don't have to deal with that crap, suckas!
@Dweezle I wish we all were so lucky. (About DST, not living in AZ...)
@Dweezle
so you got one thing going for you, which is nice
@Dweezle Yes but now you have to wait an hour longer for the new Meh deal.
@LankHairdoo No. No they don't. They still have to wait 24 hours between Mehs. Don't talk nonsense.
@brumagem @dweezle Ok longer in the sense I have to wait until an hour LATER (10 pm instead of 9 pm.) I live in Arizona :P

@KDemo
Yeah, funny, but 90% of the time folks complain about DST, it's the standard time they really don't like.
@saodell - Huh? The way I read it, the quote covers both options.
This will be my first time experiencing DST and I don't know how I should be feeling!
@dannokun Technically, you've been experiencing daylight saving time, we're switching back to standard time.
@Pavlov shoot you're smart

So what time is it ?
@ceagee Adventure time?

Did you? This seems to be the same deal you showed at this time last night.
@Charliethedog that's because rollover happens at midnight EST... you forgot to set your clock back an hour, didn't you? (Or do you live in AZ?)
