Did the Meh email schedule change?
6Yesterday and today I have gotten the daily Meh emails at around 8:00 in the morning instead of 11:00. I haven’t gotten them this early since before the time was changed in November last year.
What changed it? Did someone start mixing regular coffee into Mediocrebot’s decaf?

Mehbee it is the tea???
Whoa, futuristic person. It’s only 6:05am so what you are saying cannot be true.

@Thumperchick Aliens? So do we need to raid Area 51 next week to get the 11:00 emails back?
Inquiring minds want to know…

Ha yes, I was wondering how fast someone would notice. Pretty fast! (I think @mtbm33 was the first, in yesterday’s product topic).
The Meh email (and circuit breaker) is back to 8am eastern now, instead of 11am eastern. There’s a few reasons for this (we’re seeing faster overall sends at that time, and it makes sense to have more of the day available for this second batch), but it mostly boils down to us continually testing things.
@dave I thought about mentioning it yesterday, but I figured that it could’ve been an accident. Two days is where it becomes a change!
It’ll be interesting to see how this affects things, especially with MorningSave getting moved up (as @sammydog01 said below). Be sure to report back if this generates any noteworthy meh-trics.
@dave @lljk @sammydog01 Actually the meh shipping department was clandestinely experimenting with tachyons (faster-than-light particles) to give them a competitive edge in shipping times. It also could give them a benefit in packing, since the packages might actually arrive before they would be packed.
The problem with using tachyons is that because they travel faster than light, they go backwards in time and cease to exist before they are created. Well, some of those stray tachyons hit the mail servers and caused quite a temporal ruckus. The 11AM email went out at 8AM. There was an explanatory email that went out, but it ceased to exist before it was written. The idea to send out the email also ceased to exist before it was thought up, as was the idea to use tachyons to speed up shipping.
If you didn’t receive the explanatory email, it just underscores that the above is true.
The Morningsave daybreak deal moved up to 8 am too.

@loneskum
you realize all this happens at 5 am here in the real world? Not that I mind, kinda nice to have it there when I stumble over with the morning coffee …
@stolicat but you get the new product launch at 9pm.
@RiotDemon true - and I appreciate that early opportunity to decide not buy something, and then have all the next day to change my mind multiple times …
