@joelmw Glad you asked. I have a plus-sized grape, and the toque fits really comfortably. The earmuffs baaaaarely fit around my stupid tree trunk neck to reach my ears. Toque is the way to go for you if you’re gifted with a giant melon like mine.
I hate to jump on the bandwagon. You know I hate bandwagons (and it turns out I’m not altogether on the bandwagon after all). But . . . .
They’re small as fuck. I’m surprised no one has mentioned this. Am I the only one with a large head around here? Yes, I’ve extended them–fully. If I put them on over my head, the bottoms barely reach the tops of my ears. So maybe they’re meant to be worn low. Fine. I fiddled with these fuckers every which fucking way and the best I can do is putting the slightly below parallel with my ears. I just fiddled again and they do more or less fit, if I carefully extend them all the way out and wiggle them back and forth. Honestly, they fit okay if I take the time to finagle putting them on. The trouble is that as such, they restrict movement and, when I do move a bit, they start to move off of my ears, undermining both sound and warmth.
The sound is shitty.
They’re not what I’d actually pretend to call truly comfortable.
But for $4 . . .
Okay, honestly, I don’t find them categorically uncomfortable per se. They could certainly be more comfortable, even in comparison to similar products with similar design constraints, like the sleep mask BT headphones I purchased from meh long ago, which actually feel okay and sound pretty good.
They actually look pretty sharp. I like the color.
They might be more-or-less warm enough for me, certainly for Texas in its deepest winter (yeah, like the one we just had). Not sure about truly cold climates. I’ll report back from CO when next I’m there.
The plus side of the shitty sound is that it pushes down to the lower registers. It’s muffled, but it’s a kind of bass?
Also, yaknow, with the tight fit, um, maybe they keep my with my eyes forward, if that’s a thing I need?
I was pissed at first, because I didn’t think I could get them to fit. The fit still isn’t great, but I think it might almost work sometimes. Damnit, I do wish they were bigger. I mean, Idunno, $4. I’m willing to give them a shot. Hoping to get up into the hills soonish and certainly I’ll keep them into the winter (and when we are in cooler climes) and see if I can hear well enough and feel like they provide any kind of convenient warmth as compared with other arrangements. I listen to a lot of NPR and podcasts. I don’t always need hi def audio fidelity.

So maybe they’re meant to be worn low.
I do appreciate the specific reference. Also, if I’d been paying attention, I would have refrained when I say “fit most heads”. Mine’s enormous, reflective perhaps of my ego.

I bought their bluetooth toque last year. Worked well through the winter, but starting to wear where the electronics are.
Basically, they earned a $4 purchase (and their green matches my coat)
@CraigDanger Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
@CraigDanger Is the toque large enough for a large head, do you think? And how would you compare sound quality between the two now that you have both?

These are uncomfortable trash.

I love these- go to bed wearing them every night.
Oh the irony since it’s supposed to be 111 here this weekend.

@sillyheathen Best. Giphy. Evar.
@eVil made me giggle for sure.
I don’t even care if the headphones don’t work. I will need these in February when I HAVE to walk my huge a** dog in the snow, twice a day. Yeah, me.

These are uncomfortable and not cushy at all, it’s like wearing a hard plastic

@joelmw Um … you might want to re-read bullet #9 above in “Specs”; Heck, I’ll save you the trouble of scrolling up and post it here:
You’re welcome!
