@Fodder650@Kidsandliz very true. It’s already up for sale on woot. (and I bought myself some because, despite having a husband and 3 children, I don’t get mother’s day gifts from them )
and at 15, even if they were cz and not just probably mediocre quality diamond chips, it’s not a bad deal.
if you like diamonds
i’m not a fan. although my daughter’s black diamond in steel engagement ring was really unique and thus awesome
my preference is for white sapphire if i want a ‘white’ clear stone, but then i’m not traditionalist either. I would want it set in blackened steel most likely.
@Cerridwyn Take a look at Danburite, it’s a natural stone, semiprecious, with a higher refractive index than diamond. I have a ring with some of these stones, and I swear it’s my favorite (and I am a big jewelry fan, I wear this one almost all the time.)
@Fuzzalini plus, as I’m learning from BIPOC Twitter, “hoops” are kind of a thing that many non-BIPOC have sort of appropriated from them. Although I do have some myself, I try to be mindful of the subtext some see in wearing them. JMO, of course.
@catthegreat A lot of people see that subtext. I see hoops, I think “That girl is ‘DTF’.”
It’s the same when I see women wearing those hair ties around their wrist even though they did their hair and it doesn’t need a hair tie. They’re prepared for a particular situation that might require them to pull their hair back quickly.
**Edit: I made my comment before I knew what BIPOC was. I thought we were talking about BJ’s. My bad. That’s what I get for opening my mouth…
So, I’m confused - the text and ordering all says hoop hoop hoop everywhere but the pictures show a hoop and a dangle earring (even on Irk’s fashion shot), or two dangles. So, knowing someone who likes the dangles but not big hoops, what do you get here? Can the dangle be used as a hoop and if so where’s that extra hanger thingie come from? AFAF.

@Fodder650 “mother” is the theme… mother’s day.
I tried.
@mbersiam Oh that’s pretty good.
@Fodder650 thanks I’m seeing mother of pearl in our meh-futures
@Fodder650 @mbersiam I am sure the mother of all cheap, tacky jewelry is yet to come. Meh/morningsave sells a lot of that.

What the, and I mean this, THE FUCK IS GOING ON AT MEH? Do we need to send an ambulance?
Nope… just nope!
Sorry I’m not from new jersey
Are these real diamonds I can sell on Craigslist for a cash profit?
@ooglek
@msayler Damned Step 2 vagaries
send a whambulance you mean?
they are 29 bucks at morningsave

POPSOCKETS! SPROCKETS! DAVY CROCKETT! AWESOME!

@Background This is about who would like it.
At the risk of insulting someone, I’ve always said that the size of the hoops are inversely proportional to the IQ of the wearer. Yes, I’m female.

@Fuzzalini Agreed. I have similar feelings about the number of finger rings worn.
@cbl_wv @Fuzzalini sorry no one sees that subtext

Anyone else have the word hideous pop into your head when looking at the pictures of the those things?
@mrapathy I love em. I’ve been wanting some funky looking hoop earrings for a while. I just hope they’re not too long.
@ardycake @mrapathy I think they’re reasonably sized. 2 inches is big, but it’s not obnoxious.
Get these, and you too can look as good as IRK. Plus, the gift box.

Hööps
@stolicat The ones that look like dangles are just hoops shown head-on, unfortunately.
@Kyeh oh, duh. Thanks.
I will get these for my wife. What better way to say “I love you” than [cheap] jewelry?
@hchavers Put the earrings in jello. She’ll love em all the more!
@hchavers Giving her something she actually wants? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
It’s a ten!
The metal slowly turns into a nice greenish tarnish color over time. Why is that not a feature?
@wickhameh Likely so does the wearer’s ears.
Solid goldinium?!? Trimmed with platoonium! Wow, can I pay with moneyolio?
@MrNews No you will have to pay with moneyolium. When it doesn’t rhyme it is fake.
