When they say “compact”, they mean “small”. This is similar in scale to the old Sunbeam Mixmaster. The advantage in that older product was that the power head could be removed to use it as an electric hand mixer. This one, not so much. The advantage with this one (according to one person I know) is that the bowl stays in place a lot better than that old Sunbeam’s did.
I got one of these in an irk. It is very small. Nice that it takes up less space on the countertop, but just be aware the bowl size is about the size of the small one on a regular “two bowl” mixer.
