@ThoR294 I use sub-$3 duffel bags from the thrift store for my junkyard bag. Thieves are less likey to care for “stinky gym clothes” if they see the bag through the back glass.
@heartny Well, you could use one of these to turn this into an A/C powered Bluetooth speaker (you might want one of these as well).
To use it in your car, you could add one of these, though to make that fly, this is no longer optional. Well, I guess you could use the bag with batteries and avoid needing this but rechargeable D cells are not common or cheap*. There are adaptors that allow multiple AA batteries to be used as a 1/3 to 1/2 capacity D cell. These work quite well, with the caveat of having the smaller capacity.
*These days, non-rechargeable batteries are only used by assholes who hate the Earth and morons who don’t know better.
@baqui63 Thanks for this info. I think I bought almost all of the items you referenced from Meh, including the Eneloop. Now all I need is the tool bag to go with it all.
I use a tool bag very similar to this to carry my food to work each day. I really like this one.
Besides, I think it is time to retire my curent one. I am only asking for trouble walking around with all my food in a bag that says “Husky” on the side.
Bring this back in January when I have the money to buy this!
Damn always the stuff I want after blowing my money I love this! one less thing to carry into a job site. now it’s tool bag and dewalt radio this saves a trip.
Dear meh…VMP members should be guaranteed delivered by Xmas. (and whatever other holiday is appropriate). Festivus for the rest of us is good for the spring and fall months.
Huh, something I actually wanted. I use toolbags to tote my supplies back and forth to metals casting class. I have outgrown the two I currently use and would like a third. I’d have occasional use for the speakers. Sold out, though. No great sorrow, I’ll pick up a mute one at Harbor Freight on the cheap.
Why is meh so obbessed with speakers, so whats next under garments with bluetooth speakers speakers and leds that change lights or may be speaker shoes, ear rings with speakers
Damn! I was refreshing the page and got to the order form at 4pm Eastern, but i took a few seconds to confirm everything before pressing order and it THEN said sold out. I guess I assumed the gate would be at the “want it” button… not the final order confirmation. FML
I got this for my dad for one of his Christmas Presents. After I received it I was bummed that I didn’t buy 2 of them because now I want one! It’s a really nice and very well made tool bag – especially for the $24 price tag. The bag alone was more than worth it for the price. The built-in speakers are a bonus! I’m really impressed by the quality of the bag. I didn’t expect the quality to be this good. I was expecting a basic tool bag. I’ve never owned a Custom LeatherCraft product before.
My dad always listens to his iPod when he is fixing things around the property. He always has to carry his speakers around with him along with his tool bag – which is pretty beat up and old. This bag is the perfect fix for both. He’ll love it!
***MEH: If you read this can you please get more CLC tool bags?! I really want one for myself. It’s been hard to give this one up for a Christmas Gift! LOL!
@jbartus *** Wow - I’ve placed 34 orders? I didn’t know that. I wonder if that includes my Morningsave Orders.
Nope, not a shill. When I was writing the comment I figured people were going to think that. I just love the bag. My current tool bag is a piece of s***. Seeing a nice one in comparison got me excited! Even a woman can get excited about tool bags. LOL!
@spurnky it’s all good, I was just struck by it so I had to check your profile. Just little things made me do a double take like calling out the company name in full in the middle, the “I wish I bought two” bit, and the “I’ve never owned” bit which shills use to imply what I like to call “new customer awe”. Plus the story about your dad which has him ‘conveniently’ (if you were a shill which you are not) lugging around speakers which happens to make this bag’s gimmick the perfect fit for him. It’s all good just funny to see a legitimate review that ticks so many of the boxes!

Whistle while you work?
2 white cats means no black nuthin’.
I really like this. I just wish I had a use for it.
@sammydog01 blasting music at your neighbors is a great use for it
Hmmmm new junkyard bag???
@ThoR294 I use sub-$3 duffel bags from the thrift store for my junkyard bag. Thieves are less likey to care for “stinky gym clothes” if they see the bag through the back glass.
Interesting, and big props for offering something substantially new.
But I already have about 2 or 3 tool bags that I literally never use. (And far too many portable speakers, period.)
A dock . . . for your hammer and wrench
No Bluetooth? What is going on???
@thismyusername I blame the CIA #whereisbluetooth
OK. Now, this here is some weird shit, Meh. Even for you.
A clever disguise for another speaker dock!
I really don’t understand why I’m doing this, but
/buy -q 2
I guess I need help.
@baqui63 Hmmm… this doesn’t seem to be buying (I’ve refreshed about a half-dozen times).
Should I go buy two the old-fashioned way? Or give this a few more minutes?
Decisions, decisions…
@baqui63 Ok, I gave up and did it the old-fashioned way.

A purse for guys?
SPEAKER ALL THE THINGS!!!
Was really hoping for a knife with Bluetooth and 10 watt speakers
@lehigh You could put a knife in this…
I guess this can’t be used with phones that don’t have a 3.5mm jack, unless you get an adapter?
@heartny Well, you could use one of these to turn this into an A/C powered Bluetooth speaker (you might want one of these as well).

@baqui63
Except non-rechargeable D cells from the Dollar Store are reasonable to get when you only use like 4 a year.
This is so stupid or genius I might have to buy it even tho I supposedly swore off stupid purchases?
@f00l I’ll buy it off ya in January after all the Christmas shopping
EVEN a damn bag isn’t safe around these parts…Injected speakers.
Every aspect of this item is precision-crafted to strike at my consumerist weak spots, right down to the order number:
/giphy dopey-glossy-thought
I was really excited until I saw it wasn’t actually leather. I mean…leather…
HAS SCIENCE GONE TOO FAR?
Dammit. DAMMITDAMMITDAMMIT!
/giphy cumbersome-fanciful-porcupine
If its cool, I keep. If not, brother-in-law present.
@jedge I was thinking the same, except more in step-step-grandfather territory
It took that long for the page to load for this?
I would’ve bought this if it didn’t have the speakers…
Okay, so skipping due to no Bluetoothas previously mentioned, but also, no rechargeable battery built in? Wtf?
@someguynamedmat You missed yesterday’s brew-two-fahs.
And here I thought all the tool bags were in DC by now…
I use a tool bag very similar to this to carry my food to work each day. I really like this one.

@conandlibrarian Red Sharpie.
@conandlibrarian right that’s exactly my thoughts
So which is it?
“thirteen variously sized pockets on the outside and eighteen on the inside”
OR
“21 exterior pockets and 18 interior”
ALSO, the Amazon link is for a different bag: smaller, no speakers, and plastic case included.
@jeffreywsnyder It’s lots of pockets for lots of stuff.
is that an iphone in the bag? i thought iphones didn’t have jacks no more.
Its a Boombag
Cool, I could use this to hold all of my various bluetooth speakers, at least until you sell some hammers and wrenches with built in speakers.
I miss The Olde Days when toolbags didn’t have all this fancy-schmancy stuff like speakers and pockets.
Just rope lights, like The Good Lord intended.
Damn always the stuff I want after blowing my money I love this! one less thing to carry into a job site. now it’s tool bag and dewalt radio this saves a trip.
@astroglide but hey I love my Martian no more going for my phone with dirty ass hands
Oooh. A speaker-bag to hold all my Bluetooth speakers!
@mikejoe I just don’t know anymore!!!
Custom? what, with your own tools?
Could say that about anything…
Dear meh…VMP members should be guaranteed delivered by Xmas. (and whatever other holiday is appropriate). Festivus for the rest of us is good for the spring and fall months.
I proposed to my wife with a genuine authentic DiamondCraft ring…wish I had read the fine print.
Huh, something I actually wanted. I use toolbags to tote my supplies back and forth to metals casting class. I have outgrown the two I currently use and would like a third. @ruthwik1 Because no one else is.
They sell what doesn’t sell
/giphy sell what doesn’t sell

@hisgrossness haha
@phatmass it’s @f00l 's fault!
/giphy unattractive-somber-dust
@f00l blames self that @f00l
Did not buy thing @f00l wanted
But there was no need for.
Someone actually wanted this?
You dawg, I’m gonna use this bag to hold all my speaker docks, so I can listen to my phone while I listen to my phone!
@phatmass Didn’t you mean “Yo dawg”?
Where’s the vmp buy?
@msujp Sold out at 4pm. Only had 40 of them reserved for vmp purchases. Gone in less than a minute.
I am so disappointed that no one brought this up that I have to post it myself:

@spurnky don’t take this the wrong way but if you weren’t VMP with 34 orders placed I would have sworn this was a shill post.
Not cause the product is bad or anything, I know jack about the product, just something about it struck me that way.
@jbartus *** Wow - I’ve placed 34 orders? I didn’t know that. I wonder if that includes my Morningsave Orders.

@jbartus there you go throwing compliments around again.
@cshillaber there you go hiding your real identity again.
