I have one of these and it’s absolutely DA BOMB. In the sense that it’s awesome, and also that it’s hilariously out of date but perfect anyway. No settings, no computerized bullshit. Just processes your food. I make salsa and pesto in mine every week and it’s the best appliance I’ve ever added to my kitchen hands down.
Some history: this is modeled after a commercial product for restaurants called Robot Coupe. (See, maybe @mediocrebot was right about the robots)
The original was made in France. I think the first Cuisinarts sold here were still made in France; of course now the Cuisinarts are made in China. But the model sold here looks like about the most “serious” of the Cuisinart line.

Wow, an actual Cuisinart
Meh having something I was actually looking for? What year is it?
This is actually a first-rate product, although I think it’s too expensive at this price, unless you use a fp every day.

Well, this might be what I really regret, not the IRK I got - but I finally decided to go for it.
