I thought a beard to go with a shaven head was the current in thing.
(Note: neither of those is me. I have hair on top of my head, and shave my face when the mood hits me, usually once or twice a week, especially if it is getting itchy.)
I wanted to say the Worf, a VanDyke or chinstrap with that clean upper lip, but looking at images for Star Trek beards online, I really admire the Riker. Dignified, clean, masculine. But if you’re wearing a Klingon battle sash you can get away with any look you like.
I’ve worn a full beard (neatly trimmed) for most of the last 40 years. There was a period where it started going grey in patches - I did not like the look so I shaved. But now it is pretty uniformly salt-and pepper so I’ve grown it back and will keep it for the time being.
I’ve been toying with the idea of picking up a Greek fisherman’s cap to complete the look
Facial hair is not supposed to be cool, it serves an important function as a nature’s balaclava in keeping one’s face warm. If facial hair is “cool” you don’t have enough of it, and it’s in the wrong spot. Unrelated to that, how about Amazon’s logo update?
