@yakkoTDI I’ve got 25 curry and 25 carbonara inbound from Weee. Now that my son eats it too, it’s easier for me to justify paying more for meh’s mistakes.
@yakkoTDI That would work for me since I’m retired, virtually a hermit and reasonably healthy. But my wife actually has a social life and sometimes brings home the respiratory bug du jour from her hobby groups that passes on to me during cold/flu seasons. (Just getting over one now…)

Alcohol hand sanitizer in our car door pockets used immediately on reentry to our ‘safe’ capsule’s environment.
I used to spray my outerwear and shoes with Lysol Spray Sanitizer before re-entering our house when COVID was really running through the correctional facility.
Watch a lot of tv. Went to the dentist and it’s not an infected tooth, (thankfully) I really didn’t want my tooth pulled. Dentist said he could see the vein that ran from ear down my throat and said it’s so raw and inflamed. He thinks it’s mono. I just left the drs now, they drew my blood for it, gave me some steroid shots (some to take home and give myself, we’re getting a big winter storm this afternoon and their closed tomorrow bc of it), changed my antibiotic and I guess we’ll we’ll see in a couple days.
Use 1 cup distilled, sterile, or [effectively*] boiled water
add 1/2 measuring teaspoon table salt [iodized or not is up to you], and 1/2 measuring teaspoon of baking soda [neutralizes acidic secretions, and breaks down bacterial biofilms]
The sterility of the water only really matters if you’re going to use it for nasal irrigation- nonsterile is fine for gargling and oral rinsing.
*Effectively sterilizing by boiling water:
To make water effectively sterile, you should boil it for at least one full minute of full rolling boiling.
This is the most effective way to kill waterborne pathogens, including bacteria, protozoa, and viruses.
Bring water to a rolling boil, Boil for one minute, and Let the water cool.
Boiling at higher elevations
If you’re above 6,500 feet, boil the water for three minutes
If you suspect viral pathogens, boil the water for three minutes
Storing boiled water
Store boiled water in a clean container with a tight lid
Filtering cloudy water
If the water is cloudy, you can filter it through clean cloths or let it settle.
Using boiled water
You can use boiled water for brushing teeth, making ice, washing raw foods, preparing drinks, and for pets.
Water must be adequately cooled before it can be used for personal hygiene uses: e.g., washing or brushing teeth.
Rest in bed, drink plenty of fluids, and read a book
Ramen noodles expire?!?!?
@bee1doll Next thing I know, someone is going to tell me that face masks and strawberry beet bars in IRKs expire.
@bee1doll nah
Stay in the house at all times.

@sillyheathen Became a hermit!
@fjp999 @sillyheathen

I moved to Southern California. It worked.
@haydesigner woohoo
In need of deeply discounted semi-expired Ramen noodles?
I feel seen.
@mikey Me too. My ramen count is currently at 0.

I stick with the simple method of not getting sick.
@yakkoTDI brilliant
