@2many2no
Me too, and it is much nicer than expected. I’ve been using it for frozen foods on a shopping run. The best part was finding the package of zipper lube inside after struggling to get the zipper open.
Bought two of these last time. Liked them so much, bought two more. Very well made, small footprint and leak
proof. We use them for grocery shopping.
However, there is a downside. The zippers…being water-proof…are very difficult to close. They’re not impossible, just difficult. It’s my opinion this is why they are being bulk sold at a discount.
The cooler does come with a tube of a petroleum like jelly to lubricate the zipper somewhat. However, if you have any hand issues (e.g. arthritis, etc.) you may want to take a pass. This wasn’t enough for me to do because I have been nominated “official zipper closer” by my wife.
@lhroller Zippers are not water proof. The shit behind and in front may be. But there is not a zipper that is water proof besides a zip-lock sliding seal. I mean, they are literally teeth that get together. Without lube… which someone thought was the marketing solution.
You cannot constantly pour all the water on to the best zippers and expect it to be water-tight. That is for everything around the zipper.
@KNmeh7@lhroller You might be right but just wondering (serious question) what do the modern tech space suits use? I mean like the Space-X suits that look like they come from a Paris fashion runway, not like the heavy industro “Robby the Robot” suits of the Apollo era (with big stainless steel locking rings). But in any case not something I would need on a cooler bag; I think these are more of a marketing/coolness thing as you suggest.
No regrets for purchasing this cooler. No issues with the zipper (a little dab of the included lubricant works wonders) and it keeps things cold for over a day. As mentioned in the prior sale comments, I am able to fit 6 standard sized wine bottles standing up in it.
@cmostrowski Yes that is the point, if you haven’t figured it out. This stuff is up for a day, more or less. You don’t know how much of it there is or if it will come back. SideDeal stuff tends to stay there for quite a while, unless it sells-out, which happens sometimes. That is the whole point, it is for those with regrets for not buying when it was here, and then if you are that kind of person, you regret having to pay more for the privilege of still being able to order it. I must admit I’ve done that (bought on SideDeal), and, yes, I’ve felt bitter about having to pay more. It is all part of the life experience this site provides.

I’m sure this is great for keeping batteries in that you take camping.
But how many salmon can it hold?
@lljk You should be smacked with a frozen trout for not knowing.
@lljk 18.7 quarts of salmon plus water or ice depending on whether they are dead or alive.
24 2 litre cans? That’s a lot of motor oil.
I bought this the last time, thought it would be good for the Farmer’s Market.
It is much nicer than expected. It’s not the typical soft side, it is heavier with thicker insulation. Zipper is quite stiff though.

@irenegade Yay wine! I would think one of the little cardboard dividers you get in wine boxes would complete the ensemble.
Well that’s the last time I get anything on side deal. Paid $39 on side deal, feeling ripped off.

Can’t believe it already shipped.
Too bad I didn’t know my Side Deal that I shipped elsewhere was going to mean my Meh purchase would also reroute to Oklahoma.
