I went one day to pick up a new horse. I was talking to the boyfriend on the phone on the way home, and he said, “Girls sound happy. Hmmm, horses make girls happy. Horses are cocaine for girls.” (Note, this girl is 48.)
I corrected him, that no, Horses are NOT cocaine for girls, COCAINE is CHEAPER!
When I got home to the barn, the barn manager asked the horse’s name (it happened to be Cisco). He said, “NO, we already have 2 named Cisco here, come up with something else!” Hmmmm
After about 10 minutes, (enough time to unload horse and take him to stall) the barn owner came over and said, “Well, what is his name???”… All I could come up with was “CC” short for (you guessed it) Cocaine is Cheaper.
We show him as Closed Caption, since it is a family establishment, but those in the inner circle know what CC REALLY stands for…
I do a bit of freelance photography when work finds its way to me. A couple years ago I worked on an ill-conceived local campaign for an ill-conceived energy drink. Most of the pictures were either basic product shots or the standard “pretty lady holding the product” type stuff. But for a couple, I was asked to play up the product’s name.
I was happy with the work we did on the project, even if it never went anywhere. But there’s one picture I’m particularly proud of:
Yeah, it’s trashy. But I feel it’s well-executed trash.
